5. Principle and procedure of plant operation.

In standby mode, the distribution pipeline of the sprinkler unit is filled with water, and are under the pressure of the pressure increase unit 60 ppm.

The pressure in the supply pipeline is monitored by an electric contact pressure gauge, which includes a pressure maintaining pump. If a fire occurs in protected rooms, the temperature rises to the temperature of destruction of the heat lock of the sprinkler, one or more sprinklers located above the fire center are opened. Water through the opened sprinkler irrigates the fire. When the water pressure in the supply line drops, the signal valve opens, one or two PS10 pressure sensors operate, which include the "Fire" signal and the main pump. If the main pump has not reached the design pressure within 10 seconds, the standby pump from the pressure switch installed on the main pump pressure pipe is automatically switched on. The flow indicator of the branch where the fire occurred operates from the water flow in the supply pipeline.

Command signal is provided for:

- shutdown of ventilation;

- activation of the warning system;

- disconnection of elevators.

Operation of the plant is stopped by closing the gate valve at the control unit in the sprinkler center and disconnecting the power supply of the working pump.

With the completion of work on the elimination of the consequences of the fire, it is necessary to restore the operability of the plant. To do this, the opened sprinklers are replaced with new ones provided in the reserve, and the irrigation network is filled with water.

Detailed description of the plant elements operation is given in the equipment documentation.

6. Automatic fire extinguishing. Fire fighting automation.

In this part of the project it is envisaged to equip the automatic fire extinguishing unit with instrumentation.

The design is based on the requirements of sanitary standards and safety.

The equipment is located in the premises of the pump station and on-duty personnel with round-the-clock work.

Automation Solutions

The process monitoring and control system provides:

• Control over parameters;

• Prevention and prevention of emergency situations.

Selection of monitoring devices

Pressure control is performed on pressure lines of pumps N1, N-2, N-3 of control units.

For pressure monitoring, electric contact pressure gauges DM2020 are used, for pressure signalling - universal pressure switches PS102A.

Automatic control

The project provides for:

• Automatic actuation of N-1 working pump at actuation of 2 contacts of pressure sensors: PS102A;

• Automatic activation of N-3 pumping pump at pressure drop in sprinkler sections less than design one and shutdown of N-3 pump at reaching design pressure in sections;

• Automatic shutdown of N-3 pumping pump when one of N-1 or N-2 pumps is switched on;

• Actuation of standby N-2 pump by pressure drop on the pressure pipeline in case of N-1 failure within 10 seconds;

• Activation of the alert system;

• Output of signals for disconnection of general ventilation;

• Activation of fire water system pumps;

• Opening of electric valves on the bypass line of the domestic water supply system;

• Control of smoke removal and overpressure systems in case of fire.

Automatic alarm

The project provides for:

• "Fire" alarm at actuation of water signal valves with decryption of the operated direction;

• Signalling of main or standby pumps activation;

• Alarm of N-3 leak compensation pump activation;

• Signalling of main and standby power supply on boards circuits and control devices;

• Alarm "FAULT" in case of failure of any of the instruments and control circuits.

Installation of instruments.

Installation and installation of instruments in the pump station room shall be carried out according to the installation instructions of the manufacturers taking into account safety precautions and "PUE," NPB882001 *, SNiP 3.05.0685, RD 78,14593.

Cables shall be laid according to external wiring diagrams.

Receiving equipment and cable gaskets.

The set of devices for management of installation of automatic water fire fighting of VestKom (SPb) of the PUI02SM1 type installed in protection with the round-the-clock finding of personnel on duty is used to reception of signals from devices of a system of automatic water fire fighting.

With regard to reliability of power supply by PUE, all equipment of the automatic fire extinguishing unit belong to the first category of power supply.

All motors are supplied complete with drive mechanisms.

Power supply of starting equipment of electric motors is provided by IWGng cable, instruments and light indicator "Fire extinguishing station" and "Fire engines connection place" - by 2x0.75 IWVP cable in metal box, other communication lines between devices - by CQR cable. To protect cables from mechanical damage when laying a cable below 2.2 m from the floor, the cables must be mechanically protected.
