The project was executed in accordance with SNiP 23576, SNiP 2.04.0887, SNiP 3.05.0288 ,
RD 1234100, PB12-529-03 and PUE2007.
1.2 Brief description of the object
Object represents one floor monolithic industrial building, to the address: HantyMansiysk, HMAO HHHHH St.
Building height: m.
Total area: 374.6 m.
Toxic and combustible gas leakage area: 104m.
2. Design solutions
The project provides for installation of the Gas Automation Panel. The board is equipped with an automation system based on the controller and equipment of SEITRON Italy, which performs control and alarm functions when the concentration of carbon monoxide is increased by 100mg/m3 or natural gas 10% NKPR CH4.
2.1 Gas content control.
RGY000MBP4 annunciator with four additional sensors for toxic and combustible gases is installed in the bread baking shop room.
The device is designed for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide and natural gas content with trigger thresholds in accordance with RD 1234100, PB12-529-03.
The RGY 000 MBP4 indicator is designed to measure the pre-explosion concentrations of methane and the volume fraction of carbon monoxide in the air, as well as to indicate the excess of the maximum permissible carbon monoxide concentration and pre-explosion concentrations of methane in the spirit.
The annunciator is a microprocessor device with LCD display and is installed on the DINrack. Sensors with output signal 4... 20mA type SGYME0V4NC for methane detection and SGYCO0V4NC for carbon monoxide detection.
The annunciator can separately monitor the condition of the preliminary and main alarm by controlling each output relay (the relay clock is normally open), refer to sheet 3. When the pre-alarm threshold is triggered on any sensor, the RGY000MBP4 unit activates the pre-alarm relay corresponding to this sensor and starts flashing the red indicator. If the gas concentration in the sensor area continues to rise and reaches the specified threshold of the main alarm, the unit activates the alarm relay, the red indicator starts to burn continuously and the sound signal is turned on.
If the concentration decreases below the threshold values, the relays rotate to the initial state.
2.2 Sensor Functionality
2.2.1 SGYCO0V4NC sensor;
Used to determine the current concentration of carbon-genus monoxide (CO). It is connected from 3 wire cables and has a current output signal in the range 4... 20 mA. The device consists of a plastic housing in which an electronic module is installed, and a sensitive element located in the lower part with a protective filter.
The sensor measures the CO carbon monoxide concentration and converts it to the current current value in the range of 4... 20 mA, according to applicable industrial standards.
Sensitive element - electrochemical type. This ensures good stability and quick availability. When power is supplied, the sensitive element is preheated for 30 seconds, after which the device is ready for operation. However, the highest stability is achieved after 48 hours of operation.
Mechanical and electrical installation of the instrument shall be in accordance with applicable safety standards.
The sensor shall be installed by the sensor element downwards for ease of maintenance and removal of possible condensate.
To correctly locate the sensor, consider the following factors:
● - air flow rate;
● - availability of windows, doors, etc.;
● - room configuration;
● - area of the room.
Since carbon monoxide has the same density as air, the sensor must be installed at a height of 1.5... 1.8 m from the sex level (average human growth).
Electrical connections are made with copper 3-wire cable. The signal cable shall be installed separately from the 220V cable.
2.2.1.1 Technical characteristics:

2.2.2 SGYMEOV4NC sensor;
The natural gas gas sensor SGYME0V4NC is a three-wire transmitter with a current output signal 4... 20 mA.
The device has a strong housing with a degree of protection IP54, in which an electric board and a sensitive element are built in, which is reliably protected by a filter located at the bottom of the housing.
The instrument measures the concentration of methane in the range for which it is calibrated and converts it into a current signal from 4.0 to 20.0 mA, which meets current standards.
Sensor uses sensitive element of catalytic principle of action. If the gas content is lower than the Lower Concentration Propagation Limit, the sensitive element of this type has good reliability and stability. In addition, it has low sensitivity to other environmental parameters, such as temperature and humidity.
Since the sensor can sense several types of hydrocarbons at the same time, it is necessary to take into account this sensitivity to other gases.
After voltage supply, the device is ready for operation after 30 seconds of preliminary heating, but maximum stability is achieved after 48 hours of operation.
In order for the device to give the correct readings, it is necessary to fully verify that there is enough oxygen in the controlled room, that is, about the same as in the atmosphere (20.9%).
The instrument shall be installed by the sensor element downwards for ease of maintenance and automatic removal of possible condensate.
To correctly determine the location inside the controlled space, consider the following factors:
- gas characteristics (heavy or light);
-airflow rate;
- possible slits in walls and ceilings;
- room configuration;
- room area.
For light natural methane gas, the sensor should be installed at the top of the room at a height of 1020 cm from the ceiling above the places of possible leakage, in places convenient for maintenance.
Electrical connections are made with copper 3-wire cable.
The signal cable shall be laid separately from the 220V cable.

2.3. Valve operation:
To cut off the gas supply from the gas supply system, the design provides for the installation of an electromagnetic valve with a manual cocking of the EVG NC type by SEITRON (normally closed).
After supplying power to the power supply and control unit RGY000MBP4, voltage is also supplied to the solenoid cover of the normally closed valve through contacts 15-16 of the auxiliary relay.
In case of carbon monoxide gas gas, contacts 15-16 of the auxiliary relay open, voltage drops from the solenoid coil of the valve and it closes. Contacts 16-17 are closed, and the sound alarm "Alarm" sounds.
At the same time, contacts 21-22 or 26-27 of the main alarm zone relays are closed, thereby including the "CO Gas" light indication on the dispatcher panel. After disappearance of gas content contacts 21-22 or 26-27 of zone relays of main alarm and 16-17 of auxiliary relay are opened.
"CO gas" indication goes OFF and "Alarm" sound alarm is silent. Contacts 15-16 of auxiliary relay are closed and voltage is supplied to solenoid valve coil. But to open the normally closed valve, you need to take it manually.
In case of gas contamination by natural gas, contacts 15-16 of auxiliary relay open, voltage disappears from solenoid coil of valve and it closes. Contacts 16-17 are closed, and the sound alarm "Alarm" sounds.
At the same time, contacts 45-46 or 50-51 of the main alarm zone relays are closed, thereby, including the "CH4 Gas" light indication on the dispatcher panel. After disappearance of gas content, contacts 45-46 or 50-51 zonal relays of head alarm and 16-17 auxiliary relays are opened.
Indication "Gas contamination of CH4" dies away and the sound Alarm alarm system stops. Contacts 15-16 of auxiliary relay are closed and voltage is supplied to solenoid valve coil. But to open the normally closed valve, you need to take it manually.
