Description and operation of module mp100.07

The module consists of a housing for storage of fire-extinguishing powder pos. 3 and operating gas source (cylinder) pos. 9 with opening unit, pos. 7.

At actuation of starting element pos. 6 creates the pressure in the powder unit opening unit necessary to break the membrane in the working gas cylinder. Starting membrane pos. 10 is intended to create the required pressure in the housing of the powder unit necessary for ejecting the fire extinguishing powder into the distribution pipe pos. 1.

In case of fire, electric pulse is supplied to the starting device, after which the membrane is opened, and working gas is supplied from the bottle through the fluffer pos. 5 (refer to Figure 1) enters the housing, pos. 3 modules.

After increasing the pressure in the housing to the operating value, the membrane is opened and the fire-extinguishing powder in a fluidized state enters the distribution pipeline and then through the sprayers pos. 2 per protected area (in the protected area).

In order to ensure safety, when the pressure in the housing exceeds the working one, the powder unit is equipped with a safety valve, item 4 .

The main mode of operation of the module is automatic, when the electrical signal for actuation comes from the facility fire alarm unit.

Actuation of the plant can also be carried out from the manual remote starting device of the URP7.

General provisions

4.1. Installation and maintenance of the module on the site should be carried out in accordance with the requirements of GOST 12.4.00983 SSBT "Fire equipment for object protection. Basic views, accommodation and maintenance. "

4.2. Installation of the module and distribution piping on site, electrical connection of the module and manual start-up device shall be carried out in accordance with this design.

4.3. Maintenance of the module as part of the facility fire protection system (installation, charging (recharging) with fire extinguishing powder and working gas before commissioning and after actuation, monitoring of the electrical start-up system, maintenance, etc.) shall be carried out only by the manufacturer or specialized organizations with the appropriate license.

Security measures

5.1. The module shall be operated in compliance with the safety requirements of PUE 98.

5.2. Persons approved for operation of the module must study the design of the module, the manual start-up device URP7, the content of the OM on the module, instructional and prohibition inscriptions applied on the module housing and on the opening unit.

5.3. Install the powder unit and URP7 article in places that exclude the possibility of mechanical damage and direct sunlight ingress on them, as well as at a distance from heating devices:

- not less than 1 m - for powder unit;

- not less than 1.5 m - for product URP7.

5.4. The manual start-up device shall be sealed.

5.5. DO NOT:

PERFORM MAINTENANCE OF THE MODULE WITH AUTOMATIC STARTING SYSTEM ON;

BREAK SEAL, DISASSEMBLE PARTS OF EXPLOSION-PROOF SHELL WITHOUT DISCONNECTING MODULE FROM ELECTRICAL STARTING SYSTEM;

DISASSEMBLE THE ARTICLE URP7, CORRECT THE APPARENT DEFECTS OF THE ARTICLE;

OPERATE THE UNIT AFTER THE EXPIRATION OF THE REEXAMINATION PERIOD OF THE HOUSING AND THE WORKING GAS BOTTLE

Preparing for Use

6.1. The modules shall be placed in protected rooms.

6.2. Assemble and connect the distribution pipe with sprayers to the module housing in accordance with Figures 1, 3a and 3b, taking into account the following requirements:

for pipelines use steel water and gas pipes as per GOST 326275;

the pipeline shall be laid with a slope of at least 1:100 towards the sprayers;

distance from the nozzles to the attachment unit of the corresponding pipeline is not more than 0.5 m;

distance between pipe attachment elements must be not more than 3 m.

ATTENTION: The orientation of the nozzles must correspond to the position according to view A of Figure 3a.

6.3. Installation of the powder fire extinguishing module is recommended in the following sequence: preparatory work, measurements of the protected room, binding and installation of the module.

6.4. Wires and cables shall be laid in accordance with PUE, NPB 8801.

6.5. Charge the module with fire-extinguishing powder in the amount specified in Table 2.

6.6. Attach to the housing, pos. 1 of powder unit opening unit launcher pos. 2 and gasket pos. 3, before that remove the temporary blanking from the connector of the opening unit.

6.7. When assembling the electrical starting system of the module on the site, be guided by the following requirements:

a) ATTENTION: CHECK THE QUALITY OF ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION WITH THE DEVICE PROVIDING CONTROL CURRENT IN THE STARTING DEVICE CIRCUIT NOT MORE THAN 0.05 A, MONITORING DURATION - NOT MORE THAN 5 MIN.

b) ATTENTION: WHEN ASSEMBLING THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT, OBSERVE THE POLARITY OF ELECTRICAL LEADS SPECIFIED ON THE PRODUCT OF URP7;

c) the resistance of the supply lines shall not reduce the current in the circuit below the value given in item 11 of Table 1 and guarantee the actuation of the starting device.

Maintenance

7.1 To maintain the module operability after its commissioning, the following types of maintenance (maintenance) are provided:

daily maintenance (TO-1);

maintenance performed every 6 months (TO-2);

Maintenance performed every 4 years (TO-3).

It is not allowed to clutter the approaches to the manual starting device and to the powder unit.
