Coupling selection
To connect the ends of the slow-moving and drive shaft and transmit torque, an elastic compensating clutch with a torus-shaped shell should be used, which ensures strict alignment of the shafts and protects the mechanism from overloads. The dimensions of this coupling are selected according to the standard, they depend on the shaft diameter and the amount of torque transmitted.
Coupling consists of identical half-couplings to which elastic elements made in the form of clamps are attracted by means of pressure rings and screws.
The coupling has a large torsional, radial and angular compliance. Half-couplings are installed on both cylindrical and conical ends of shafts.
Lubrication of gears and bearings
Lubricants in machines are used to reduce wear intensity, reduce friction forces, remove heat from friction surfaces, and also to protect parts from corrosion. The reduction of friction forces due to lubrication provides an increase in the efficiency of the machine, in addition, dynamic loads are reduced, smoothness and accuracy of the machine are increased. The depth of immersion of gears in oil must be not less than the engagement module and not more than a quarter of the pitch circle of the wheel.
