Introduction.
Machine-building production is a set of systems that ensure the flow of the production process. Metal cutting machines on a row with forging and pressing equipment are the main equipment of machine-building production. Despite the increasing role of forging, stamping, rolling and casting processes, chip-stripping machining remains dominant in metalworking so far, since the final dimensions of the parts and their shape can in most cases be obtained only by metal cutting.
In order to correctly and optimally design the technological process of machining a particular part and choose metal working machines, the technologist must know well the device, kinematics and technological capabilities of modern metal cutting equipment.
Any metal cutting machine includes several actuators. The most responsible from both the design and technological point of view is the main movement drive (PGD). For most machines, the main movement drive has a rotational movement, which is considered in this course work.
The purpose of the course work is to acquire skills in choosing rational machine equipment for processing a given part according to the developed technological process; ability to compare different equipment according to the quality indicators of machines; skills in analysis of kinematic structures of actuators of main motion (PGD) of various metal-cutting machines, in plotting of spindle rotation speeds, power and torque graphs.
