Introduction

The most important direction of the development of modern machine tool building is automation, which includes a set of measures (technical, organizational, etc.) that allow you to conduct production processes without the direct participation of a person. In recent years, work on the creation of new highly efficient automated mechanical assembly plants and the reconstruction of existing plants based on the use of modern equipment and controls for all stages of production has become widespread. In mechanical engineering, production equipment equipped with numerical software control systems and microprocessor equipment is introduced, on its basis automated sections and workshops are created, controlled from computers.

The designed and implemented production processes should ensure the solution of the following tasks: production of products of the necessary quality, without which the labor and material resources spent on it will be wasted; production of the required quantity of products within the specified time period with minimum living labor costs and investment capital costs.

Currently, there is an intensive expansion of the range of manufactured products and an increase in their total number. At the same time, product quality requirements are increasing. This leads to the need to improve the accuracy of technological equipment, its capacity, speed, degree of automation and environmental cleanliness of the entire production system.

Increasing accuracy in mechanical engineering has set serious tasks for machine builders in the field of creating high-precision machines. Requirements for precision machines are growing every year. New elements are used in machines: rolling guides, hydrostatic and aerostatic guides, hydrostatic and aerostatic supports in spindle units, screw-nut drives and screw hydrostatic gears, various damping devices and much more.

Modern machine tool construction is characterized by the maximum use of normalized and standard units and parts, the development of the aggregation method and the creation of machine tool scales in the form of a normal series of standard sizes with maximum standardization of units and parts .

7. speed switching system

Before the modernization of the speed switching system of the base machine, 2 triple gear blocks were used, which were switched between gear wheels.

The switching mechanism can be designed so that the search for the desired speed is carried out during the operation of the machine, and its actuation is carried out after the operation on this transition is completed by simply turning the handle. Such a speed switching control system is called a preselective or preselect system.

The gear ratio of the speed box is changed by a block of gear wheels, the movement of which is carried out by disks with holes through pins and a fork fixed on it.

The main drive speed switching system allows you to set the switch to any of the 2 positions in advance (during machine operation), choosing the speed necessary for the next transition. After stopping the main drive of the machine, the speed is switched by pressing the lever located outside.

During the modernization, we remove the excess gear blocks and, together with them, forks to move them.

To provide two speed ranges, we change two disks to disks with two holes.

Conclusion

In carrying out this work, the following objectives have been achieved:

kinematic calculation of the main motion drive was carried out;

2PB132MGU4 motor is selected, for which power N = 3.7 kW, and nominal speed n = 4000 rpm;

design of the main motion drive is developed. At this stage, the drive structure was developed, the number of gear teeth and their location in the drive were determined;

the belt transmission was calculated and the number of wedge belts equal to three was accepted;

are chosen material for cogwheels, steel 40XH;

parameters of gears are determined;

material for shafts 40X is selected;

estimated calculation of shafts for which minimum section diameters have been determined;

calculated forces acting on the most loaded shaft;

Bearings for this shaft are selected and calculated;

upgraded speed switching system;

modernized main motion drive lubrication system.
