The designed machine unit serves as an electric winch drive and can be used at enterprises in various directions. Drive consists of electric motor whose shaft is connected through V-belt transmission to drive shaft of worm reduction gear, driven shaft of worm reduction gear is connected through elastic coupling with torus-shaped shell to drum of winch. The designed drive operates in 1 shift in reverse mode. The nature of the load is with small fluctuations.

Introduction

"Machine parts" is the first of the design courses in which they study the basics of designing machines and mechanisms.

Any machine (mechanism) consists of parts.

A part is such a part of a machine that is manufactured without assembly operations. Parts can be simple (nut, key, etc.) or complex (crankshaft, gearbox housing, etc.). Parts are partially or completely merged into subassemblies. The assembly is a complete assembly unit consisting of a number of parts having a common functional purpose (rolling bearing, clutch, reduction gear, etc.). The complex assemblies may include a number of simple assemblies, for example, the gearbox includes bearings, shafts with gears mounted thereon, and the like.

Among the large variety of machine parts and assemblies, there are those that are used in almost all machines (bolts, shafts, couplings, mechanical transmissions, etc.). These subassemblies are called general purpose parts. All other parts (pistons, turbine blades) are referred to as special-purpose parts.

General-purpose parts are used in mechanical engineering in very large quantities. Therefore, any improvement in the calculation methods and design of these parts, allowing to reduce the cost of material, reduce the cost of production, increase the durability, has a great economic effect. The main requirements for the design of machine parts: the perfection of the design of the part is assessed by its reliability and economy. Reliability means the property of the product to maintain its operability over time. Cost effectiveness is determined by material cost, production and operation costs.
