Operating conditions of the machine unit.
The designed machine unit serves as a drive of a suspended chain conveyor and can be used at enterprises in various directions. The drive consists of an electric motor, the shaft of which is connected through an elastic clutch to the drive shaft of a conical reduction gear and an open gear cylindrical transmission, the driven shaft of which is the drive shaft of the conveyor. The designed drive operates in 1 shift in non-revertive mode. The nature of the load is with small fluctuations .

10.3 Selection of connections
In the designed gear box, key connections are used to connect the shafts to the torque transmitting parts.
We use prismatic keys with rounded ends as per GOST 2336078. The length of the key is assumed to be 5... 10 mm less than the length of the hub of the part to be fitted. Fit for conical wheel H7/p6.
10.4 Design of Bearing Assemblies
The designed gearbox uses grease of bearing units. To isolate the bearing assembly from the inner cavity of the reduction gear box, containment rings with a width of 10... 12 mm are used, and insulation of the output sections of the shafts from the environment is achieved using cuff seals according to GOST 875279. Inner ring of bearing rests against oil-retaining ring, and outer ring is fixed by spacer bushing between bearing and bearing cover. The bearing assembly of the high-speed shaft is assembled in a separate sleeve.
