1 application area

This standard applies to polyethylene pressure pipes for underground gas pipelines (hereinafter - pipes) transporting combustible gases intended as raw materials and fuels for industrial and public use.

Mandatory requirements for products aimed at ensuring their safety for life, health and property of the population and environmental protection are given in table 2, except for indicator 9.

3 definitions

3.1 The following terms are used in this standard with the corresponding definitions:

3.1.1. Standard sizing ratio SDR: Ratio of nominal outer pipe diameter d to nominal wall thickness e.

3.1.2. minimum long-term strength MRS in megapascals: Stress determining the property of polyethylene grades used for the manufacture of pipes, obtained by extrapolation for a service life of 50 years at a temperature of 20C of these pipe tests for resistance to internal hydrostatic pressure with a lower confidence interval of 97.5% and rounded to the nearest lower value of row R10 according to GOST 8032.

Procedure for design and approval of visual control samples

E.1 The reference sample shall be a length (500 ± 10) mm of pipe with marking on the surface of the pipe taken from a serial batch of pipes manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard. The pattern must be cut perpendicular to the pipe axis.

E.2 Reference samples of the appearance of the pipe surface shall be drawn up for one representative from each pipe group by diameter in accordance with 7.2, and they shall be reference samples for all standard SDR group dimensions.

E.3 Each control sample shall be provided with a sealed label indicating:

- pipe symbol;

- manufacturer's name;

- approval stamp of the control sample by the chief engineer of the manufacturer, confirmed by a round seal indicating the date of approval;

- approval stamp with the standard developer or any test laboratory (center) accredited in the field of testing pipes and connectors made of plastics

E.4 If changes are made to the list 1 of Table 2 of this standard, the samples shall be re-approved.

E.5 Control samples shall be stored at the manufacturer.

Method for determination of atmospheric resistance

G.1 Atmospheric resistance (aging under the influence of natural climatic factors) is determined according to GOST 9.708 (method 1) on pipes with a diameter of 32 mm with SDR 11 or a diameter of 63 mm with SDR 11 that meet the requirements of this standard.

Tests are carried out on samples in the form of a pipe length of about 1 m.

The working surface of the sample should be oriented south at an inclination angle of 45 ° to the horizon line.

Duration of test is determined by data of irradiation energy (intensity of total solar radiation) taken from results of meteorological observations at climatic stations.

After irradiation with E3.5 GJ/m2 energy, the samples were repeatedly tested for: thermal stability, elongation at break, resistance at constant internal pressure (165 hours at 80 ° C).

Note - When testing for thermal stability after irradiation, the surface layer (chips) with thickness of 0.2 mm is removed from pipe sections before production of tested samples

Samples shall be deemed to have passed the weatherability test if the test results meet the requirements of Table D.1.
