Introduction:

      The project is a set of technical documents related to the product intended for manufacture or modernization and containing drawings, calculations, description with fundamental justification, layouts, etc.

The task of the course project is the design of the chain conveyor drive, which includes the following units: engine - transmission mechanism - actuator. In this project, the second and third nodes of the mechanism are to be developed. As an engine, a standard electric motor is used. Transmission mechanism includes reduction gear, and actuator - shaft of traction chain.

    According to the received task, it is necessary to design the conveyor drive, i.e. make calculations and develop drawings in the scope set by the task for the course design.

All necessary calculations and explanations are made in the form of a note.

The purpose of the preliminary calculation of the drive is to compile and refine the kinematic diagram of the installation, select the main elements of the drive and carry out its kinematic and power analysis. This step is completed by compiling the input data table necessary for further calculation of the individual units and parts of the actuator.

9 Selection of lubricants and lubrication system

To reduce friction power loss and wear intensity of friction surfaces, as well as to prevent their jamming, gouging, corrosion and better heat removal, friction parts must have reliable lubrication

Currently, a crankcase system is widely used in mechanical engineering to lubricate gears. Oil is poured into reduction gear case so that gears are immersed in it.

Bearings are lubricated with oil mist, which occurs during operation of reduction gear box.

During the operation of the transmissions, the oil is gradually contaminated with wear products. Over time, it "ages," its properties deteriorate

Therefore, the oil poured into the gearbox housing is periodically replaced. For this purpose, the gearbox has a drain hole closed by a plug with a cylindrical thread. Cylindrical thread does not create a reliable seal, therefore, a ring made of KGF is placed under the plug
