Development of an automatic gas fire extinguishing system in the server room.

          In today's world, server rooms are the heart of information technology, providing storage and processing of large amounts of data. However, these premises are at high risk of fire, which can lead to significant material losses and disruption of information systems. In this regard, the development and implementation of effective fire extinguishing systems in server rooms is an extremely important task.

          An analysis of existing methods and means of fire safety, including fire alarm systems, automatic fire extinguishing, was carried out.

          The main causes of fires in server rooms, such as overload of the power grid, malfunctions in equipment, non-compliance with operating rules, etc., are considered.

          Regulatory requirements for server rooms are considered, including requirements for the placement of equipment, power supply, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

          The most effective means of fire automatics suitable for use in server rooms were analyzed and selected, the factors contributing to the occurrence of fires and methods of their prevention, including the use of automatic fire extinguishing systems, were investigated.

          Various methods of fire extinguishing, their advantages and disadvantages are described, and an assessment of economic efficiency is carried out.

          A technical and technological solution for the development of an automatic gas fire extinguishing system using the Novec 1230 fire extinguishing agent is presented. 

          A review of modern technical means of fire alarm and fire extinguishing used in server rooms is carried out.

          The classification of security and fire alarms, their functionality and application features are given.

          The device of security and fire alarm, including the main components and principles of their interaction, the device of an automatic fire extinguishing system, including modular installations of gas and powder/aerosol fire extinguishing, are considered.

          The principle of operation of the security and fire alarm system and the description of its main components are described.

          The characteristics of the protected server room were given, including its size, location and specifics of use.

          The main technical solutions used in the design of an automatic gas fire extinguishing system are presented, including the principle of operation of an automatic gas fire extinguishing system in automatic and manual modes.

         The calculation of the automatic gas fire extinguishing installation was carried out in accordance with the methodology recommended by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

          The main technical parameters, as well as the process of organizing the installation of automatic gas fire extinguishing installation, are described. Functional, electrical and schematic diagrams of the automatic gas fire extinguishing system have been developed.

          The basic safety requirements for the development and operation of an automatic fire extinguishing system in the server room are considered.

         A description of the control devices for the automatic gas fire extinguishing installation, including monitoring and control panels, indication units and alarm and starting devices, is given.

         The features of the arrangement of the server room are considered, taking into account the installation of an automatic gas fire extinguishing system.

          An analysis of hazardous and harmful production factors, an assessment of the impact on the environment, possible sources of impact and environmental protection measures, as well as measures to ensure safe working conditions were proposed.

     The results of the work done are summed up, conclusions are drawn about the expediency of introducing the developed system and its advantages over existing analogues.
