The fire extinguishing plant consists of two sections: a water section and a foam fire extinguishing section.

Explanatory note. Water Fire Fighting Automation Project

The project provides for automatic control of three sprinkler pumps according to the scheme of two main ones - one standby, two pumps with batchers according to the scheme of the main reserve, two jockey pumps according to the scheme of the main reserve, electric valve for filling the fire tank, compressor and eight deluge valves for protection of escape routes.

The fire extinguishing plant consists of two sections: a water section and a foam fire extinguishing section. Control of operation of water fire extinguishing section is controlled by control signal valve KSK1. Control of foam fire extinguishing section operation is controlled by KSK2 water-air valve.

when any fire-fighting section is activated, sprinkler pumps PN1 and PN2 and deluge valves of escape route protection are started. Setting to nominal operation mode of PN1 pump is monitored by readings of PS1 pressure gauge, PN2 pump by readings of PS2 pressure gauge, PN3 pump by readings of PS3 pressure gauge. In case of refusal of start-up or absence of PN1 or PN2 on the mode during the determined time, PN3 is automatically started.

When the foam fire extinguishing section is activated, pumps of N1 and N2 dispensers are started. Setting to nominal operating mode of pump H1 is controlled by readings of pressure gauge PS7, pump H2 by readings of pressure gauge PS8. In case of start-up failure or H1 failure to enter the mode within the specified time, H2 is automatically started.

Maintaining the pressure in the water fire extinguishing section is carried out using jockey pumps H3 and H4. Jockey pump H3 is controlled by signals of pressure sensor SP4. Setting to nominal mode of H3 pump operation is monitored by readings of PS5 pressure gauge, H4 pump by readings of PS6 pressure gauge. In case of H3 start-up or failure to enter the mode within the specified time, the system pressure is maintained by H4. For jockey pumps, once a week, a dynamic change of reserve is provided.

The pressure in the foam fire-fighting section is maintained by means of a compressor. The compressor is controlled by SP9.

Control of electric valve of fire tank filling is performed automatically by signals of water level indicator in fire tank.

A central indication device is installed in the room with round-the-clock stay of the duty personnel. The DPI records events and signals in the form of light and sound signals:

passing the fire extinguishing agent (in directions).

start-up of pumps;

disconnection of automatic start-up of pumps, electrical valves ;

failure of any loop;

faults of power supply electric pipelines;

emergency level in the fire tank;

emergency level in tank with foaming agent;

not reaching the nominal operation mode of the pump PN1, PN2, PN3, H1, H2, H3;

do not open the electrical valve for the set time.

Pumps are stopped remotely from DPI or CP by means of "CP reset" command (refer to CP and CP passports).
