Car wheel pair washing machine

A pass-through washing machine serves for washing wheelsets, with an automatic control cycle and a capacity of 7-8 wheelsets per hour, is a metal chamber with doors opening using pneumatic lifts, and closing under pressure of own weight. Under the chamber there are two baths with a hot solution of caustic soda in one and with clean hot water in the second bath. Inside the chamber there is a washing device consisting of four pipes with nozzles, the pipes are bent along the contour of the wheelset. Water is supplied through two pipes, and caustic soda solution is supplied through the second pair using pumps driven by electric motors.

Washing machine is installed in washing and inspection section of wheelsets. Wheelsets come for washing from the axle box dismantling compartment and are then supplied to the wheelchair.

The principle of operation of the washing machine is that the wheel pair supplied to the chamber on the roller supports of the rotation mechanism is continuously rotated and sequentially washed first with hot water to remove easily washed dirt and old paint, then with caustic soda solution, after which again with hot water to remove residual caustic soda solution. Preliminary heating of solution and wash water is performed by fresh steam. The temperature of caustic soda solution and hot water in baths is controlled by electrothermometers.

Preliminary washing with hot water is performed during 1-1.5 minutes, cleaning with caustic soda solution during 5-6 minutes and final washing with hot water during 1-1.5 minutes. Wheel pair rotation speed during washing is 2.6-2.4 rpm.

After washing and termination of the hydraulic system, the doors rise, and the wheel pair is rolled out of the washing machine by the pusher. Thus, every 9 minutes, a cleaned and washed wheelset comes off.

The sequential actuation of the mechanisms included in the washing machine and the specified duration of their operation are provided by an electro-pneumatic control system.

We will calculate the installation for washing wagon wheelsets using computers. To calculate the hydraulic system of the washing machine, a number of initial data must be entered into the computer:

N - number of washing nozzles in the shower system, N = 16;

D - diameter of shower system nozzle, D = 4 mm;

RO - washing fluid pressure, RO = 0.3 MPa,

PG - washing liquid density, PG = 1020 kg/m3;

KN - pump supply margin factor, KN = 1.2;

KG - flow factor of washing liquid, KG = 0.6;

KV - tank margin factor, KV = 1.2;

TT - duration of an obmyvka, TT = 8 min.;

SN is the flow rate of liquid in the delivery pipeline, SN = = 4 m/s;

SV - liquid flow rate in suction pipeline, SV = = 1.5 m/s;

LN - length of delivery pipeline, LN = 5 m;

LV - length of suction pipeline, LV = 3 m;

SF - filter resistance coefficient in suction pipeline, SF = 6;

SK - elbow resistance coefficient in suction pipeline, SK = 0.3;

QC - number of elbows in the suction pipeline, QC = 1;

SR - distributor resistance factor in the delivery pipeline, SR = 6;

XR - number of distributors in the delivery pipeline, XR = = 1;

KV - knee resistance coefficient in the delivery pipeline, KV = 0.3;

AC - number of elbows in the delivery pipeline, AC = 2;

N - height of the central line of a naos over the level of obmyvochny liquid in a tank, N = 2 m;

LV is the height of the shower system above the level of the central line of the pump, LV = 1.5 m.
