Introduction

The correct, rational operation of cars on the line, their timely maintenance and repair have a great impact on the efficiency of the use of equipment. In turn, the effectiveness of linear and technical operations depends to a large extent on the training of the personnel involved in these works, knowledge of the peculiarities of technological processes, the design of machines, the basis of their effective use on the line, that is, a set of knowledge covering all the most important issues of the operation of road machines.

In general, the operation of road machines should be understood as a comprehensive system of engineering and organizational measures that ensure the most efficient use of the capabilities of road machines, their high productivity and safety, minimal downtime during maintenance and repair, a high percentage of operability and readiness for work at minimum cost.

The process of equipping road construction organizations with equipment puts forward the task of increasing the efficiency of its use. This task is solved by improving the methods of using machines in terms of power and time. The first direction provides for the determination, study and optimization of performance indicators of individual road machines, including traction and speed properties, cross-country ability, use of working equipment and fuel economy. The second is the development or improvement of theoretical foundations and the application in road construction of methods for determining the performance of road machines and factors affecting it, the development of a system of indicators for assessing the effectiveness of the use of cars and vehicles.

Maintenance solves the problem of reducing the wear rate of machines. At the same time, maintenance solves the task of ensuring the required level of probability of failure during periods between services. In addition, as practice shows, during maintenance, adjustment parameters are restored.

To realize these capabilities, it is necessary to determine the periodicity of maintenance of units and systems, their structural elements, then combining these actions into types. Obviously, maintenance is associated with labor costs, forced machine downtime, and cost. Therefore, the amount of service should be optimal. The use of reliability and control theories, system approach principles and system analysis provide a great opportunity to solve this important task from the point of view of technical operation
