Introduction
The quantity of products, production efficiency and its technical progress in many respects depends on development of production of the new equipment, machines, machines and devices, on every possible introduction of methods of the technical and economic analysis.
Course design is an important stage in the formation of solid knowledge in the course "Engineering Technology." The work on the course project consolidates, deepens and summarizes the theoretical knowledge gained during the training sessions. The goal of course design is the development of independent creativity in order to increase initiative and organizational tasks, as well as a detailed and creative analysis of existing technological processes. The focus is on making suggestions for improvements to existing technologies in the course project.
During work on the course design, it is necessary to develop a technological process for the manufacture of the part. To do this, you need to fully analyze the part, determine its processability, the main operations for processing the part, the type of production, develop cutting modes, and give a technical and economic assessment. If possible, a research part on a certain topic should be conducted.
Design Description and Part Assignment
The part is of general engineering purpose and belongs to the class of shafts (cylindrical surface with necks). The drive shaft is used in various drives and is a responsible part (in ball mill designs). A construction is a part consisting of two surfaces, a solid of revolution and a body of square section. This is one of the complexity of the part. The part operates under average load conditions. The shaft is not high-speed. In turn, it is convenient for processing, since it is rigid. Calculation of wear resistance is not required, concentric arrangement of necks is required. This part is machined in a cartridge without a rear center or using a rear center. The main surfaces of the shaft are: flat and spherical end surfaces.
Additional structural elements are: 2 flats, a key slot, grooves for leaving the grinding wheel and for locking the ring, a transverse hole.
The most accurate, responsible for manufacturing are: diameters d = 35 mm; d = 25 mm; d = 23.5 mm; d = 20 mm; hole d = 18 mm.
Part Drawing Process Inspection
The part drawing contains a single view, as well as several local views that give you an idea of the part design. Surface roughness, unspecified roughness, dimensions and limit deviations are correctly placed.

Part Constructability Analysis
Technological analysis of the design provides improvement of technical and economic parameters of the developed technical process. Therefore, technological analysis is one of the most important stages of technological
development. The main problems solved in the analysis of the processability of the machined part design are reduced by the possible reduction of labor intensity and metal consumption, and the possibility of processing using high-performance methods. In general, the design of the part is technological. This is confirmed: the part is made of process material Steel 40X, it is possible to use a workpiece close in shape to the part. The labor intensity of the part is medium, conventional processing methods are used, standard tools are used to make the part. The amount of locksmith work is minimal. It is possible that the use of universal measuring and control tools is Not-technological elements are flats, since there may be difficulties in basing the part during their processing and when drilling the hole (it is necessary to fix the cylinder).
