Description
The roller crusher is used in the foundry to crush clods of spent molding earth. The shafts of the roller crusher are supported by bearings on two supports. The drawing shows one of the crusher supports. Bed pos. 1 has a guide protrusion that fits into the groove of the housing pos. 4, to prevent misalignment of the bearing. If a foreign object gets into the molding sand, then the bearing housing with a shaft (not shown in the drawing) and a roll mounted on it (shown in a thin line in the drawing), compressing the spring pos. 8 is shifted to the right, which prevents damage to the rolls. The spring tension is adjusted with a bolt pos. 12. The bearing has interchangeable bronze liners. 6 and pos. 7.
