Introduction.

Automatic lines are designed for the manufacture of parts in large-scale and mass production conditions. Economic efficiency of AL use is achieved due to their high productivity, reduction of service personnel, stable quality of products, rhythm of production, creation of conditions for modern methods of production organization and as a consequence of low cost of the product.

The automatic line is a collection of automatic main process and auxiliary equipment installed in the order of the process, having common control or several interconnected control systems. Loading, unloading and interoperative movement of workpieces from machine to machine is carried out by automatic transport system having primary load accumulator.

The AL shall contain at least two automatic machines.

The AL section is the part of the AL that can act independently.

The AL consists of:

1. Process equipment for performing part of the technological process (aggregate machines, special and specialized machines and semi-machines - for mechanical processing of blanks; control and sorting equipment - for coating, washing, packing, etc.).

2. Transport units (conveyors, trays, lifts, devices for turning blanks - for performing interoperative transport operations; backbone accumulators - for uninterrupted operation of the line when the sections or individual equipment are simple).

3. Control system based on electrical, electro-hydraulic, electromechanical, electro-pneumatic, mechanical and other elements. It provides control of the working cycle of individual units and machines, as well as the working cycle of synchronous lines and sections of non-synchronous lines in order to ensure a given sequence of their operation; mutual locking of independent operating units of lines to ensure their interaction; automatic detection of the place and nature of failures;

obtaining information for control of equipment operation (accounting of released parts, signalling of tool change, etc.).

Ensuring the ecological safety of the machine

To improve the equipment, the following are used:

development of combined devices. This reduces the cost of materials for their manufacture and makes the process environmentally friendly;

reduced overall dimensions of devices with increased efficiency due to optimization of technological process. Such devices occupy a smaller production area.

application of new structural materials allowing to increase service life of devices due to reduction of corrosion speed and reduction of their overall dimensions and weight.

Improvement of finished products includes:

ensuring product safety in accordance with regulations;

increased service life of production products;

ensuring regeneration (restoration) and recycling of products;

easy use of products.

The following measures are used to improve the organization of production:

Full savings of material and energy resources at the expense of organizational means (proper organization of work of shifts, elimination of equipment outages, etc.);

elimination of the planned and unplanned losses of raw materials, materials, energy resources;

introduction of new, improved processes and apparatus;

ensuring environmental quality control of raw materials and products.

Low-waste production is one in which the harmful impact on the environment does not exceed the level allowed by sanitary and hygienic standards, while part of the raw materials and materials is transferred to waste that is sent for processing.
