In this course design, the technological process of manufacturing the Flange part on universal equipment has been developed.

Introduction

The quality of production is determined by the set of process properties and its results according to the established requirements. A process is a part of a manufacturing process that involves sequentially changing the dimensions, shape, appearance or internal properties of an object.

The work on the creation of technological processes generally includes: Analysis of initial data for the development of a technological process; Working drawing analysis, process drawing development; analysis of workability of the part; selection of the type and method of production of the workpiece; Select how individual surfaces are treated calculation of allowances and interoperative dimensions; selection and justification of basing schemes, development of routing technology; assignment and calculation of processing modes; process design. In this course design, the technological process of manufacturing the Flange part on universal equipment has been developed.

Process Development

Part Service Assignment

The flange is a body of revolution which can serve to connect the shafts of the pipes and the like. The flange is made of steel 35 which is not heat treated, which can be considered positive since no warping will occur as a result of heating. The internal surfaces of ∅174N7 and ∅152N8 are non-technological. These holes shall be made within the specified deviations and within the accuracy of 0.05mm. A natural way to achieve this accuracy is to finalize the holes on the machines of higher precision.

Otherwise, the part is quite technological, allows the use of high-performance processing modes, has good base surfaces for initial operations and is quite simple in design. Arrangement of fastening holes allows multi-tool machining.

Conclusion

As a result, the technological process of manufacturing the Flange part was developed on universal equipment in small-scale production conditions. The process drawing has been developed, the part processability analysis has been carried out; selection and method of obtaining a workpiece; Select and process individual surfaces calculation of allowances and interoperative dimensions. Selection and justification of basing schemes; calculation of basing error by operations; selection of tools and tooling equipment; assignment of cutting modes; calculation of technical time standards.
