Introduction

A tank is a unit of rolling stock intended for the transport of liquid, solidifying, gaseous and dust-like goods.

Of great importance is the rationality of the design of the tank and its technical and economic indicators, which determine the convenience of transportation, the carrying capacity of roads, the possibility of widespread introduction of integrated automation in the manufacture and repair, as well as its operation, the size of capital investments and the cost of transportation.

In order to increase the efficiency of public production, increase labor productivity and better use of fixed assets, research in the field of car building and car farming is important. The proper choice of the type and parameters of the tank depends on the rational consumption of large material assets, labor productivity in railway transport.

When choosing the type of tank, the volume and composition of the cargo turnover is a particularly important factor. The main parameters of the tank characterizing its efficiency are:

• wagon packaging;

• carrying capacity;

• boiler volume;

• number of axes.

1 Purpose and Role of the Tank in the Rail to Horn Cargo System

Tanks are designed for the carriage of liquid, solidifying, gaseous and dust-like goods. They are placed in a boiler, which is a specific shape of the body of this type of car. The wide variety of cargoes gives rise to significant modifications in the design of tanks and, therefore, it is advisable to classify the latter. Depending on the type of goods carried, tanks may be divided into two groups:

- general purpose - for transportation of a wide range of petroleum products;

- special tanks - transport of certain types of goods.

The designed tank is designed to transport gasoline and light oil products.

In total, the rolling stock of the Russian Federation has 635 thousand units, of which 612 thousand are a freight fleet (cars, platforms, tanks) and only 23 thousand are passenger. The share of state needs (Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, etc.) accounts for 0.8% of the total volume of freight traffic in the country.

There is a slight distortion in the distribution of traffic. Most want to engage only in profitable transportation - petroleum products. This is why today there is a very large demand for tanks, despite the fact that they cost more than $35 thousand. The portfolio of orders of enterprises building tanks is filled 7-8 years in advance.

The private company currently owns 43.2 thousand cars - 24.7% of the entire fleet of cars of the Russian Federation. The main part of the private fleet is tanks (30.8 thousand). The largest owners of the rolling stock are SGTRANS, TransRAIL, BROOKWOOD, Russian World, SFAT and Lukoil Trans.

Conclusion

In this course project, a full study and calculation of all parameters of the tank for light petroleum products was carried out.

The purpose and role of the tank in the system of cargo turnover of railways was studied, the main linear dimensions were calculated and the main parameters of the car were determined, the parameters of the tank were clarified based on the results of its inscription into the dimension. The main components of the car body were designed, in particular, the boiler structure, the section of the elements and the geometric characteristics of the frame, the boiler support and attachment units, the internal and external boiler equipment, the drain - filling and control valves. Spring suspension characteristics were calculated. Required coefficients of relative friction of friction damper of oscillations are determined based on condition of smooth running of car by unevenness of the 4th type. The vibration damper is designed based on the required value of the coefficient of relative friction. The forces acting on the wheelset in the track curve and checking the stability margin of the wheelset are determined. The tank boiler strength was calculated for operating and test pressure.
