2.3.3. Pipes and connectors.

Installation of distribution gas pipelines should be provided underground. In justified cases, above-ground laying of gas pipelines on the walls of buildings inside residential buildings and quarters, as well as on certain sections of the route, including at sections of crossings through artificial and natural barriers, at the intersection of underground communications, is allowed.

When designing underground gas pipelines, it is recommended to provide polyethylene pipes, except when these pipes cannot be used according to the gasket conditions, pressure and type of transported gas.

Polyethylene pipes GOST R 5083895 * are used for the construction of gas pipelines.

Steel pipes shall be used for construction of above ground and above ground gas pipelines.

Selection of pipe material, pipeline shutoff valves, connecting parts should be made taking into account gas pressure, diameter and thickness of the gas pipeline wall, design ambient air temperature in the construction area and pipe wall temperature during operation, soil and natural conditions, presence of vibration loads.

The thickness of the pipe walls should be determined by calculation and its nominal value should be taken equal to the value of the nearest larger according to GOST (TU).

It is allowed to use connecting parts from steel seamless and welded pipes and sheet rolled steel, the metal of which meets the requirements for the metal of the pipe and the field of application of the gas pipeline for which the connecting parts are intended.

Steel underground gas pipelines for high pressure networks of category II and underground polyethylene pipelines for low pressure networks were designed in the course design.

In the course design, it is proposed to select steel pipes for the gas pipeline in accordance with GOST 1070491 * "Steel electric welded straight-joint pipes ."

3. Design of internal gas supply of a residential building.

3.1. Requirements for internal gas pipelines.

The possibility of placing gas-using equipment in the premises of buildings of various purposes and the requirements for these premises are established by the relevant construction codes and rules for the design and construction of buildings, taking into account the requirements of standards and other documents for the supply of said equipment, as well as these factory passports and instructions that determine the scope and conditions of its application.

It is prohibited to place gas-using equipment (natural gas and LPG) in the premises of the basement and basement floors of buildings (except for single-apartment and blocked residential buildings), if the possibility of such placement is not regulated by the relevant construction codes and regulations.

Premises of buildings of all assignments (except residential apartments), where gas-using equipment is installed, which operates in automatic mode without constant presence of maintenance personnel, should be equipped with gas content control systems with automatic gas supply disconnection and output of gas content signal to the control room or to the room with permanent presence of personnel, unless other requirements are regulated by the relevant construction codes and regulations.

Systems for control of gas content of premises with automatic shutdown of gas supply in residential buildings should be provided during installation of heating equipment:

- regardless of installation location - with power exceeding 60 kW;

- in the basement, basement floors and in the annex to the building - regardless of the thermal power.

Internal gas pipelines should be made of metal pipes. Connection to gas pipelines of household gas devices, instrumentation, LPG cylinders, gas-burner devices of portable and mobile gas-using equipment is allowed to be provided with flexible hoses resistant to transported gas at specified pressure and temperature.

Pipe connections shall be non-detachable.

Split connections may be provided at the points of connection of gas and gas-using equipment, valves and

Instrumentation as well as gas piping and gas-using equipment, if required by manufacturer documentation.

Gas pipelines shall be laid open or hidden. In case of hidden laying of gas pipelines, it is necessary to provide additional measures for their protection against corrosion and ensure the possibility of their inspection and repair of protective coatings.

Gas pipelines should be laid in cases at the intersection of building structures of buildings.

Hidden laying of LPG gas pipelines is not allowed.

If necessary, open transit laying of gas pipelines is allowed, including through residential premises, public premises and production premises of buildings of all assignments, if there are no detachable connections on the gas pipeline and access is provided for its inspection.

Blowdown pipelines shall be provided on gas pipelines of production buildings, boiler houses, public and domestic buildings of production purpose.

It is not allowed to provide for the laying of gas pipelines: in rooms belonging to categories A and B for explosive and explosive fire hazard; in explosive areas of all premises; in basements; in warehouses of explosive and combustible materials; in substation and switchgear rooms; through ventilation chambers, shafts and channels; through elevator shafts and staircases, garbage collection rooms, chimneys; through rooms where the gas pipeline can be subject to corrosion, as well as in places where aggressive substances may be exposed and in places where the gas pipelines can be washed by hot combustion products or come into contact with heated or molten metal.

Installation of disconnecting devices shall be provided for:

- in front of gas meters (if the switch-off device at the input cannot be used to disconnect the meter);

- in front of household gas appliances, stoves, digestive boilers, heating furnaces, gas equipment and instrumentation;

- in front of burners and igniters of gas-using equipment;

- at blowdown gas pipelines;

- at gas pipeline entry into the room when GRU or gas counter with disconnecting device is placed in it at a distance of more than 10 m from the point of entry.

Installation of disconnecting devices in hidden and transit sections of the gas pipeline is prohibited.

Each facility on which the gas-using equipment is installed must be equipped with a gas flow meter in accordance with the rules for the use of gas approved in accordance with the established procedure.

By decision of the executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation on the procedure for accounting for gas consumption by consumers and regulating gas prices in gasified residential buildings, as well as during gasification of greenhouses, baths and other household buildings, it should be possible to take into account gas consumption by each subscriber by installing a gas flow meter on the gas pipeline.
