The calculation and explanatory note includes:

Characteristics of the city; types of gas consumption; description of substantiation of the adopted gas supply system and its main parameters; selection of gas pipeline material, type of gas pipeline laying and their protection against corrosion; measures to operate the gas supply system of the city;

Main gas characteristics;

Calculations:

Determination of gaseous fuel characteristics. Determination of combustion heat;

annual gas consumption and maximum hourly consumption. The results of calculations to determine the annual gas consumption by all consumers of the city should be summarized in Table 5;

low pressure networks:

Determination of specific gas travel expenses. (tablitsa6);

Determination of estimated gas flow rates for all sections of the network. Table 7)

Determination of approximate pressure losses in the network sections. The calculation results are summarized in Table 8;

Low Pressure Ring Hydraulic Calculation. (Table 9)

high (medium) pressure network. The calculation results are summarized in Tables 10 and 11;

Justification of decisions taken; calculation formulas and calculation results

The graphic part includes:

General plan of the city with the application of gas networks, GRS, network GRP (M1: 10000 or 1:5000). On the plot plan indicate the nominal diameters of gas pipelines; give symbols to the general plan;

Design diagrams of low (LHP) and high (medium) pressure (LHP) network (M 1:10000 or 1:5000). For each LPC section indicate the direction of gas flow, design flow rate (m3/h), diameter (mm), length (m), pressure loss (Pa); For SHD - length and diameter of the section, gas flow to consumers. To execute schemes and the general plan on one leaf of A1 format, or on sheets A3 everyone separately

The low-pressure network is designed to be cost-effective and to meet reliability requirements. It is implemented with condition of ring-shaped main gas pipelines, including those connecting power supply sources by low pressure.

On the general plan, we plan to lay gas networks along the city passages. On a separate sheet, a diagram of low-pressure gas pipelines is drawn, preferably looped.

The degree of ring and the principles of network design mainly depend on the type of planning and development of residential areas.

Length of branches or dead ends from distribution network to consumers shall not exceed 300 m.

On the calculation scheme, gas flow distribution from the FRG to the merger points is applied, which is agreed with the project manager, section numbers are determined and the actual lengths of the gas pipeline sections are found according to the general plan. Design length of sections is determined taking into account gas pressure losses in local resistances (10% of linear losses).
