Description

In our work, we need to design a reduction gear for a feed grinder and belt gear, as well as select a clutch, an engine. The reduction gear consists of cast iron housing, in which there are gear elements - gear, wheel, bearings, shafts, etc. Input shaft is connected by means of coupling to motor, output by means of belt transmission to drum of grinder.

Introduction

When designing, the task is to create machines that meet the needs of the national economy, give the greatest economic effect and have high technical, economic and operational indicators.

The main requirements for the designed machine are high reliability, repairability, processability, minimum dimensions and weight, ease of operation and, as a rule, the machine must meet the requirements of technical aesthetics.

The following principles should guide product design:

1 The initial document is the terms of reference, deviation from it without coordination with the customer (in the training design this is a consultant teacher) is unacceptable.

2 In the design being developed, all parts and assemblies must have the same degree of compliance with the requirements of reliability, accuracy, rigidity, strength, artistic design, etc.

3 The article to be constructed shall have rational arrangement of assembly units ensuring small dimensions, ease of assembly, adjustment, replacement of parts or assembly units during repair.

4 When creating new machines, it is necessary to observe the structural continuity and modular principle.

5 The machine to be constructed shall meet the requirements of unification and standardization.

The goal of course design is to systematize, consolidate, expand theoretical knowledge, as well as develop the calculation and graphic skills of students .

The implementation of the course project on the discipline "Machine Parts" contributes to the consolidation and deepening of knowledge gained in the study of general technical disciplines. The course design has the form of a complex engineering task, including kinematic and power calculations, material selection and strength calculations, issues of design and execution of design documentation in the form of dimensional, assembly and working drawings, as well as specification.

These requirements are met by such design objects as drives of machines and mechanisms of technological, testing and transportation equipment. Such drives include general purpose gearboxes, on the design of which it is possible to fix most topics of the course under study.

Kinematic analysis of drive circuit

The drive consists of an electric motor, a coupling, a single-stage helical cylindrical reduction gear and a V-belt transmission. When transmitting power, there are losses to overcome forces of harmful resistance. Such resistances also occur in our drive: in gear, in shaft supports, in the clutch and in belts. In view of this, the power on the drive shaft will be less than the power developed by the engine by the amount of loss.
