Additional information
General part
The technical solutions adopted in the project comply with the requirements of environmental, sanitary, fire and other applicable norms and rules, and ensure safe operation of the facility for life and health of people, subject to the measures provided by the project.
The following regulatory and technical documents were used in the development of the project:

The initial design data was the approved design assignment and drawings submitted by the customer.
Description and characteristics of the object
The object is a three-story building with a separate capital structure and a two-story garage.
Ceiling height in protected rooms up to 3.5 m.
The facility is located at: Minsk, st. Revolutionary, 15a.
Key Technical Solutions
Selection of automatic fire alarm system (AFS) hardware was made on the basis of analysis of structural and construction characteristics and purpose of premises, taking into account requirements of technical specification, regulatory and guidance documents, tactical and technical characteristics and equipment cost.
The fire alarm of the hostel is organized on the basis of the Berezina automatic fire alarm system, the equipment of which is installed on the 1st floor in the security room (a place with permanent staff). The system also includes aerosol and gas fire extinguishing equipment (see sections APT2 and APT4).
Fire alarm system (setting, removal, alarm release, etc.) is controlled by "Berezina UKP 10/18 PS" control and monitoring panel. System status information is displayed on LCD display of "Berezina UKP 10/18 PS" panel and on "Berezina UKA 12.5/1 PS" device.
The automatic fire alarm system outputs control signals for actuation of the warning system by means of contacts of the relay module RM 24 of the Berezina system. The project provides for the output of "Fire" and "Malfunction" signals to the EMERCOM panel. There are also contacts for turning off ventilation.
Fire alarm is performed using automatic
fire smoke optoelectronic detectors IP2125M and manual fire detectors IPR3SU.
According to SNB 2.02.0201, a fire warning system of the SO-2 type is provided at the facility. Light-and-sound placards ASTO 12S/1 with the inscription "Exit," ASTO12S/12 with the inscriptions "Exit/Fire" and "Exit/arrow to the right" are used as warning devices. The warning system is controlled by Tango CP/BP8 device and area switches of Tango CP/CP.
EQUIPMENT LOCATION
During installation of fire alarm system elements, refer to references on drawings, certificates and technical descriptions for used equipment and materials.
System equipment is installed in the security room (place with permanent stay of personnel): devices "Berezina UKA 12.5/1 PS" 3 pcs, control panel "Berezina UKP 10/18 PS" and Tango warning set (Tango PU/BP8 and Tango PU/ZK) at altitude 0.8-1.5m. The distance between instruments shall be not less than 0.05m. The equipment is also installed in the garage in the corridor on the 2nd floor (devices "Berezina UKA 12.5/1 PS" and Tango PU/ZK) at an altitude of 0.8-1.5m.
On escape routes and on landings, tame fire announcers of IPR3SU05 at the height of 1.5 m from floor level are established. Place the installation of manual fire detectors with signs according to GOST 12.4.009 and GOST 12.4.026.
Fire alarm system detectors shall be installed in all rooms except for rooms of bathrooms and thermal plugs.
Placards of ASTO with "Exit" and "Exit/arrow to the right" inscription
are installed above evacuation exits at an altitude of 2.6m. ASTO placards with "Fire" inscription are installed as per drawings at altitude 2.6m.
ELECTRICAL WIRING
The fire alarm network is wired by KSPV 2x0.5 cable in the box along walls and ceilings and in PVC pipe behind the suspended ceiling. On the stairwell, the wiring is performed in a metal pipe.
The light-and-sound indicators of the fire warning system are connected by the BVP wire, the wire is branched out through KO-4 boxes.
ATP components are combined via RS485 line by CMVEV cable.
The main power supply of the equipment is performed by the customer according to the task of the Special Automatics PCI Bel.
Power supply of equipment
The fire alarm unit is a category 1 consumer and requires two independent power supplies.
Operating inputs 220V, 50Hz are supplied to power supplies of IRPA 124 BP from existing board through circuit breaker. Power supplies are installed in the security room and in the corridor on the 2nd floor of the garage.
Backup power supply for devices of the Berezina system and devices of the Tango system is carried out from 12V batteries, 17a/h - 2 pcs. for PI VZ1 power supply and from 12V batteries, 17a/h - 2pc for PI VZ2 power supply and provides operation of fire extinguishing unit, fire alarm and fire warning during
24 hours in standby mode and 3 hours in "alarm" mode for fire alarm, 1 hour for fire warning (installed in power supplies of IRPA 124 BP).

Security arrangements
PLANT MAINTENANCE
To protect maintenance personnel from dangerous voltages that may occur on electrical equipment housings as a result of insulation damage, the electrical equipment housings are provided for.
The electrical equipment shall be occupied by metal connection of its housings to the neutral of the power supply network of the objects, for which a separate third, protective conductor, laid together with wires of other purposes, is used. During works, refer to GOST30331.395 (IEC 36444192) "Electrical installations of buildings. Part 4. Safety requirements. Protection against electric shock "
General part
The electrical part of the construction project of the aerosol fire extinguishing unit is developed according to the design task and materials of the plumbing part of the project (see section APT1). Design solutions comply with the requirements of environmental, sanitary, fire and other applicable norms and regulations, and ensure safe operation of the facility for life and health of people, subject to the measures stipulated by the project.
This part of the project has been completed within the scope of SNB 2.02.0504 "Fire Automation" and provides for:
- automatic start of the plant;
- shutdown of automatic start-up in case of presence of people in the protected room;
- alarm about fire occurrence, about plant actuation and about condition of main parameters of its elements;
- output of command pulses for shutdown of ventilation systems in case of fire;
- installation electrical equipment installation.

Operation of the installation
In garages for autonomous aerosol fire extinguishing, fire extinguishing aerosol generators of the "BOR5" brand manufactured by UP Belspetsremont are used, designed for volumetric extinguishing of fires.
Fire occurrence in protected rooms is recorded by heat detectors IP10503/2, which react to heat. To detach from false positives, each point of the ceiling surface is controlled by two detectors. Fire alarm loops are installed on devices "Berezina UKA 12.5/1 AT" 2pcs, which work in the Berezina system together with fire alarm devices and gas fire extinguishing device. When two fire detectors are activated, the PPKPU device outputs a fire signal. The light and sound alarm is activated, informing the personnel of the fire and the need to evacuate people from the protected room. The time of evacuation of people from the protected room where the fire detectors worked is programmed on the instrument. After the evacuation of people, but not less than 30 seconds. fire extinguishing agent is supplied by pulse supply to "BOR5" generator electric initiator, membrane is opened, fire extinguishing agent is discharged as a result of which aerosol of required concentration is supplied to protected room, it is filled and combustion processes are stopped.
When opening the front door to the protected room, the installation is set to remote mode. In this case, the plant is started by the button on the PCKPU device or from the remote start buttons located at the entrance doors. The automation is restored from the dispatcher's console with closed entrance doors to the protected room.
The alarm panel of "Berezina UKP 10/18" instrument, isp. AR (see section of AUS). The design provides dry contacts for disconnection of ventilation systems in case of fire. For strengthening of contacts the PM 24 3/1 relay module is used (see the section AUS). The ventilation shutdown line is designed by the customer on the instructions of Belspetskproekt OJSC. Contacts are also provided to start the fire warning unit (refer to Section AUS).
Signals "Fire" and "Malfunction" are brought to point of scheduling of fire automatic equipment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of RB, using an object repeater (see the section AUS).
Power supply of equipment
The fire extinguishing unit is a category 1 consumer and requires two independent power supplies.
Power supply of PPKPU devices "Berezina" is carried out by UKA 12.5/1 AT from the IRPA 124 BP VZ2 power supply considered in the section AUS.
Equipment placement
PPKPU devices "Berezina UKA 12.5/1 AT" are installed in the corridor between garages on the 1st floor at a height of 1.5 m.
At the entrances to the protected and adjacent rooms, the exit from which
it is carried out through the protected rooms light annunciators "Aerosol are installed! Don't come in!. " Light and sound annunciators "Aerosol! Go away! " Sensors are installed on the entrance doors to turn off the automation.
Electrical wiring
Fire alarm loops are made with KSPV cable in the box along walls and ceilings. Control network is wired by LWV cord in the duct.
The light-and-sound indicators of the fire warning system are connected by the CVVP cord, the wire is branched through KO-4 boxes.
ATP components are combined via RS485 line by CMVEV cable.
Plant Maintenance Security Measures
During operation of aerosol generators refer to operating instructions and certificates for devices.
To ensure high-quality operation and maintenance of the GOA units, the person responsible for their operation must be appointed.
In the garages where the GOA units are located, it is necessary to exclude cluttering of the exhaust holes by the equipment, which will limit the jet during the operation of the GOA.
When working with generators, it should be remembered that they include ignition compositions.
In the event of a fire, persons who are at this moment in the protected room must quickly leave it, tightly closing the doors behind them,
windows, turn off ventilation and take no action to extinguish the fire.
It should be remembered that during the operation of the generators, the temperature of the gas aerosol flow at a distance of 0.5 m from it is about 100 ° C.
Do not:
strike generators;
use open fire and electric heating devices near generators;
smoke near generators.

At the entrance to the protected room, a "Gas! Don't come in!. " At the evacuation exit inside the room, a light and sound alert "Gas! Go away! " A sensor is installed on the front door to turn off the automation.

Gas MT piping shall be grounded (busy). Grounding and connection of the instruments of the gas MT equipment shall be performed in accordance with the PUE and comply with the requirements of the technical documentation for the equipment.
