Car repairs are made on posts and sites of maintenance and therefore dismantling and assembly and metalwork installation works are a main type of works when performing TR of cars at the motor transportation enterprise.

At these stations faulty units, units and mechanisms are removed and installed after repair.

A characteristic feature of the organization of TR of modern ATPs is the presence at work stations of a variety of special tools and devices, detectors, wrenches, dynamometer keys, sets of fittings and special tools, mobile hydraulic jacks and cranes, etc. This makes it possible to significantly increase labor productivity and improve the working conditions of workers.

In this section of the diploma project, a key has been developed for screwing and tightening tight nuts.

The wrench for screwing and tightening the tightening nuts increases the torque by 6.5 times.

The wrench is fitted to the nut by a splined shaft opening which is a hexagon. It is possible to make shafts with different sizes of internal cavities. When acting on the handle welded to the gear, the gear will roll over the gear sector. The sector will try to turn counterclockwise, but the stop will stop it from this rotation. Therefore, the gear, rolling in a sector clockwise, will rotate the rotary plates. Two pawls are installed in rotary plates on common axis and rest against toothed sprockets. Sprockets with their inner splines sit on the outer splines of the shaft, through which the force is transmitted to the shaft.

Torque increase is achieved due to ratio of gear diameters and gear sector. For ease of assembly and disassembly, the device has locking rings instead of bolted connections.

The device has a simple structure, consists of a small number of elements, has a low cost, so it is advantageous for production.

This design development will reduce the downtime of the car in maintenance and repair, increase labor productivity and many technical and economic indicators. All this makes it as efficient and convenient to operate.
