Introduction

Civilian buildings are intended for living and providing for the living, social and cultural needs of a person.

Civic buildings include residential buildings and public buildings for cultural, domestic and administrative purposes: educational institutions, schools, polyclinics. Civilian buildings built in large numbers according to standard designs (residential buildings, schools) are called mass-construction buildings. Civilian buildings built according to individual projects (museums, office buildings, sports centers) are called monumental.

Most civilian buildings are built according to standard designs. Typing is based on the selection of the most efficient space-planning and structural solutions for this period, which give the best economic result in the construction and operation of buildings.

The volume-planning structure of residential buildings is formed on the basis of social and household requirements, climatic conditions, technological progress and economic requirements, and economic requirements largely determine the development of volume-planning solutions of the building.

Everywhere in the practice of housing construction, there is a tendency to look for an economically viable residential building.

Housing should fully satisfy the needs of various families in terms of number, national and household differences, occupation. It should protect against unwanted environmental influences and create appropriate cultural and technical comfort. When designing residential buildings, it is necessary to provide good conditions for living and relaxing family members, cooking and eating, cleaning premises. With this in mind, the engineering and sanitary equipment of the apartments should include water supply, sewerage, central heating, gas, electric lighting, bathrooms, garbage lines, refrigeration equipment, radio and telephone.

Residential buildings should also have an attractive appearance and interior decoration. In addition, they must be reliable in operation, strong, the main structural elements should not require frequent ongoing repairs.

The designed object is a brick 5-story two-section residential building.

In the house on each floor there are 2 apartments, which creates favorable conditions for satisfying sanitary requirements.
