Description
The suspension of the traction electric motor is designed to mitigate the shocks that fall on the traction electric motor when the wheelset passes unevenness of the track and when starting from a standstill, as well as to compensate for changes in the mutual position of the traction electric motor and the bogie frame when the electric locomotive is moving. The traction motor rests one end on the axle of the wheelset through motor-axial rolling bearings, and the other end rests on the bogie frame through a special suspension with rubber washers (shock absorbers).
