Introduction

When performing coursework in the discipline "Equipment of machine-building industries," it is necessary to develop a speed box of a turning-screw machine. To start the calculations directly, you need to study the operation of the machine, its purpose, the tool used, etc. This abstract serves as a preparation for the course work.

For the prototype machine we will take machine 1E316; accuracy class - H; specialization - universal; design features - mobile units; tool used - pass-through cutter; tool cutting part material - hard alloy; workpiece material - steel 45; procurement type - rolled stock; dimensions of the workpiece - 50... 180 mm; cutting depth - 2 mm.

Application of turning-turret machines

Turning-turret machines are used in mass production for processing parts from rod or from piece blanks. You can perform all the main turning operations on these machines.

Turret machines differ from turning-screw-cutters in that they do not have a tailstock and a lead screw, but have a turret head, in the sockets of which a variety of tools can be installed, if there are special combined holders, it is possible to attach several tools in one head socket. The blanks are clamped by cartridges or special collet clamping devices, the turret can rotate about its axis, and then the tool is sequentially brought to the part, processing it in several steps. The tool is also fixed in the cutter holder of the transverse caliper. The use of turning-turret machines is considered rational if a large amount of cutting tool is required for the processing process of the part.

The advantages of turning-turret machines compared to turning machines include the possibility of reducing machine time due to the use of multi-threaded holders and simultaneous processing of the part with a tool mounted on a turret head and a transverse support, as well as relatively low time consumption due to the preliminary adjustment of the machine for processing the part with many tools.

Turning-turret machines, depending on the type of workpieces processed, are rod or cartridge. Typically, small machines are rod-sized, and medium-sized machines can be both rod and cartridge-sized. Large revolving machines are usually produced by cartridge machines. All these machines are divided into machines with a vertical and horizontal axis of rotation of the turret. Turret heads are prismatic and cylindrical. Prismatic shaped heads usually have a vertical axis and six faces with sockets. Heads of cylindrical shape are made with horizontal axis of rotation with arrangement of horizontal axis of head parallel or perpendicular to axis of machine spindle.

In addition to universal turning-turret machines, turning-turret machines with software control were widely used. It enables faster re-installation of the machine. By type of control, machines with software control are divided into machines with cycle software control systems and machines with numerical software control systems. CP cycle systems provide control of the sequence of caliper movements with the tool, selection and switching of spindle speed and caliper feed, actuation and disconnection of coolant, turning of the turret. In these systems, the geometry of the part and its dimensions are installed using track stops, cams, copiers. The sequence of movements and other commands is set by appropriate installation of plugs and switches. Cycle CP systems are used in processing stepped shafts with rectilinear profile.

Lathes play a huge role in human life. There are different types of lathes. They can be horizontal and vertical, which depends on where the spindle is specifically located. There are other classifications of lathes that can perform a huge number of different actions. Such a classification includes turning, turning-screw, turning-carousel, turning-turret, pipe-cutting machines, table lathes, as well as CNC lathes, which means numerically controlled machines.
