General Information

This document provides technical and operational documentation for the LAN. The LAN design was developed in parts of the LAN cable system and active network equipment in accordance with the task. This document presents the LAN functional diagrams, node and component layout diagrams, equipment specifications, methodical support materials and other information required for the implementation of the project.

1.1. The full name of the system and its symbol.

Full name of the designed network: local computer and telephone network of the office of Pepsiko Holdings LLC on Pravda St., 26 (BC Northern Lights).

The following conventions are used:

LAN - Local Area Network

PUE - electrical installation rules

SCS - structured cable system

AWS - automated workstation

UPS - uninterruptible power supply

2.1. Purpose of SCS.

Designed SCS is designed for:

- data exchange in the data network

- access of employees to Internet resources

- ensuring reliability of data transmission channels within the network

2.2 Purpose of SCS creation.

The designed SCS is created to ensure the functioning of a single information space in the office.

3. system description

3.1. General description of the system.

The system includes LAN computing equipment, structured cable system connecting LAN computing equipment with network equipment by physical signal transmission lines, active and passive network equipment

There is no backbone system in this project because the cable system is located on the same floor.

3.2.3. Equipment and Transaction Location Plan.

The cable from the server is routed in reinforced pipes to the false floor. Access panels are provided for cable supply to workplaces in false floor. Depending on the number of cable outputs required in each work area, hatches with one, two, three and four RJ45 pairs and electrical sockets are provided.

Each network computer is connected to the SCS by a switching cord. The switching cord is a means for switching telecommunication lines and channels to patchpanels. It connects one link to another and is used to connect the computer's network adapter to the SCS. The brand and type of cords and patch panels used are determined by the customer. The distance from the PC NIC connector at the workstation to the outlet must not exceed 5 m.

The cable is crimped according to TIA/EIA 568A or TIA/EIA 568B according to the diagram:

3.2.4. Conduits.

To lay the cable lines of the designed systems, the design provides for:

- laying of cable lines in the floor in PVC reinforced pipes DN 10 mm in bars.

3.2.6. Administration system.

The task of the information security administration system is to ensure protection against unauthorized access and change and at the same time to provide access to them to eligible users without unnecessary difficulties. The network security system includes both hardware (Cisco 2801 routers with an integrated faervoll, installing all critical equipment in a separate dedicated server room) and software (clear distribution of rights, installing faervolls and antivirus software on servers, using a proxyserver).

3.2.7. Uninterruptible power supply system.

An uninterruptible power supply is installed in the server to protect network equipment, servers, and data. All servers, active network equipment and PBX are connected to it. In the event of an emergency power outage, the UPS shall operate all server equipment for 1015 minutes. UPS also has a capacity margin in case of an increase in the capacity of the equipment used or installation of additional equipment.

4. system monitoring and acceptance procedure.

4.1. Devices for testing.

The following test devices and devices are to be used in the SCS testing:

- tester-tester for testing of RJ45 connectors;

- cable certifier 5e;

- network performance analyzer.

Also, a sound level meter (noise meter) can be used to monitor the noise level in the premises.

4.2.2. Defined characteristics and accuracy of their measurement.

The test defines the following characteristics:

- attenuation;

- return losses;

- bidirectional aiming;

- total bidirectional aiming;

- total unidirectional aiming;

- attenuation to bidirectional aiming ratio;

- ratio of attenuation to total bidirectional aiming;

- delay;

- phase shift;

- electrical length of the cable in meters.
