Explanatory Note to Smoke Removal Automation Project

The project provides for the remote and automatic start of the smoke removal plant of a two-story building. Remote start is performed from HS buttons located in place. Automatic start is performed by fire alarm signals. Regardless of which floor smoke is detected, the air pressure fan is turned on to the staircases (PD), the smoke removal fan (HP), the fire retardant valves 1Y2... 1Y6, 2-Y2... 2Y6 are closed, signals are sent to turn off the general ventilation and lower the elevators. Depending on which floor the smoke is detected, the corresponding smoke removal valve 1Y1 (2Y1) is opened.

All fire retardant and smoke removal valves are energized in standby mode. Closing of fire-retarding valves and opening of smoke removal valves are performed by springs after voltage removal from electric drives.

A central indication device is installed in the room with round-the-clock stay of the duty personnel. The DPI records events and signals in the form of light and sound signals:

start-up of smoke removal unit (in directions).

starting fans;

disconnection of automatic starting of fans;

failure of any loop;

faults of power supply electric pipelines;

not opening electric valves in a set time.

open/closed position of electric valves;

Stop of fans and setting of electric valves to initial state is performed remotely from DPI or CP by means of "CP reset" command (refer to CP and CP passports).
