Additional information

3.1.Organising AUPT:

Process Part

Automatic fire extinguishing unit is designed for:

• fire detection, localization and extinguishing ;

• protection of people and material assets from exposure to fire hazards;

• alarm to the personnel on duty room about the start of the plant operation.

• transmission of information to the security post with round-the-clock duty on the operation of the fire extinguishing plant:

- pump room operation mode;

- "Fire," with decryption by sections;

- starting of main and standby pumps;

- power supply failures;

- accident of the city network.

Automatic installation of water fire extinguishing consists of 2 sections of sprinkler fire extinguishing:

• Inside the building, automatic installation of sprinkler fire extinguishing is adopted, with the exception of staircases, rooms with wet processes - bathrooms, unheated tambours, GRF, server.

For the sprinkler system, water is used as a fire extinguishing agent. The main regulatory parameters of the sprinkler fire fighting section in accordance with NPB 882001 * and the specifications developed by Enterprise Center of Expertise LLC:

• irrigation intensity 0.08 l/schem2

• area for calculation of water consumption 120 m2

• design water flow rate is 120 x 0.08 = 9.6 l/s

• The time from the moment of fire detection to the start of water discharge from the sprinklers does not exceed 180 seconds. The standard operating time of the sprinkler fire extinguishing plant is 30 minutes, the actual time - until the minimum water level in the tank is reached .

The estimated number of fires is taken equal to one.

The maximum temperature in the room is + 47° С, we choose sprinklers with a response temperature of 68° С .

The minimum temperature in the parking rooms is above + 5 ° С, according to NPB 882001 we choose a water-filled sprinkler system.

The source of the water supply of the sprinkler fire extinguishing plant is two inputs from the city water supply system, according to the Vodokanal Technical Specification No. 55/ 11215682/0831 of 29.04.09, as well as according to the specifications developed by Enterprise Center Expertise LLC, with the device of the booster pump station of special fire extinguishing:

• Head at the main water feeder, 60 M water,

• maximum flow rate 9.6 l/s for sprinkler section

Total flow required: Q = 9.6 l/s = 34.5 m3/hour = 35 m3/hour

Required head at inlet of 60 M water control units

To ensure the installation of special fire extinguishing of the object with water with the design head after pump units H = 60 m.v. (taking into account the 20m provided by the Water Channel) and the capacity Q = 35 m3/h, a CR 3242 pump manufactured by Grundfos was adopted with the following performance characteristics :

• head H = 45 m.v.;

• capacity Q = 35 m3/h;

• motor power N = 7.5 kW;

• weight 115 kg;

We accept the number of working pumps for the special fire extinguishing station equal to 2, including 1 standby pump.

3.2 Calculation of basic parameters

The supply, supply and distribution pipelines of the sprinkler system are accepted from steel water and gas pipes according to GOST 326275, in accordance with item 6.7 of NPB 882001 *. At the points of pipes connection to valves, valves are provided with detachable connections.

Use piping to connect pump station units and assemblies. Pipes within the pump station building shall be made of steel, separate pipe links shall be welded using flanges. Diameters of pipes within the pump station building are selected by diameters of inlet and outlet branch pipes of pumps, gate valves and valves; to change from one diameter to another, devices of pipeline turns use adapters and branches connected by welding.

Diameters of pipelines are determined by hydraulic calculation, at that water speed is accepted: in suction pipelines - not more than 2.8 m/s, and in supply, supply and distribution pipelines - not more than 10 m/s.

Hydraulic calculation of the diameters of supply and distribution pipelines is made taking into account the parameters of pipes and the calculation method recommended by the Federal State Institution VNIIPO EMERCOM of the Russian Federation.

3.3 Composition and arrangement of elements

Process Part

The main elements of the plant include:

• Grundfos CR 3242 pumps with 7.5 kW motor

• jockey pump with electric motor 0.75 kW

• Control and alarm units complete with tie-in and deceleration chamber (flange-flange) VIKING J-1

• Manually operated rotary disk shutter (handle) PN 1.0 MPa,

• Sprinkler water sprinkler universal special model TY3651. 5mm, 1/2, "SSU, 68¼ C, Kf = 80

In accordance with GOST 12.3.046, the pump station is equipped with devices for supplying water to protected rooms from mobile fire equipment.

Pumps, control and alarm units, as well as gates are located in the room of control units.

The control and alarm unit provides the ability to measure pressure before and after the unit, check the alarm about the unit operation, as well as perform routine operations, drain water and disconnect the fire extinguishing system of any section after a fire without disconnecting the entire system .

3.4 Operating principle.

In a waiting mode (before fire emergence) the soaking-up, bringing, feeding and distributive pipelines of sprinkler installation are filled with water and are under pressure created the jockey pump. The pressure is maintained by the jockey pump on the signal of the pressure switch.

In case of fire, the flask of the sprinkler sprinkler located above the fire center is opened, the pressure in the distribution and supply pipelines drops, as a result of which the shutoff valve of the control unit opens, passing water through the opened sprinkler to the fire center. Pressure in pipelines drops sharply. When the pressure drops to 0.4 MPa, the jockey pump is not able to maintain the required pressure and is disconnected. Operating fire pump is switched on.

If the operating pump does not enter the design mode (pressure 0.65 MPa) within 10 seconds, the operating pump is switched off, and after 4 seconds the standby pump is turned on.

When opening the control unit of sprinkler sections and water supply, pressure annunciators are activated, generating a signal about the start of the sprinkler unit operation in the room with round-the-clock duty and a pulse for turning off ventilation. On the signal from the flow relay, the location of the fire is specified.

Fire pumps shall be stopped manually from the pump station room.

A detailed description of the principle of operation of the units and individual elements included in the plant is given in the technical documentation of the manufacturers.
