1. Workability of part design
Workability of the part design is evaluated at two levels - qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative evaluation precedes quantitative evaluation and is limited to determining the compliance of a part design with the following requirements: the design must be standard or consist of standard and unified design elements;
Free feed and output of cutting tool during machining, easy control of accuracy parameters of part. The part design allows the tool to freely access the machined surfaces. The accuracy of dimensions, the quality of surfaces and their relative location can be achieved by traditional machining methods: turning, drilling, milling.
Part surfaces are clearly visible during machining. You can use a standard unified tool to process a part and measure surfaces. A part consists of simple geometric shapes. All dimensions and detail views are specified in the drawing.
Workability of the design is a set of properties of the design of the product, which determine its adaptability to achieve optimal costs during production, operation and repair at given quality indicators, volume of production and conditions of work performance.
Qualitative and quantitative analysis of workability of a part is carried out.
Qualitative - characterize the processability of the design in general and precede quantitative analysis.
Quantitative - based on the comparison of indicators, which are expressed in numerical values.
1. Qualitative evaluation of workability of the part
The Pressure Disk part belongs to a group of parts that are bodies of revolution. For this part, almost all surfaces - surfaces of rotation, therefore, this part can be worked on lathes. Chamfers are assigned for processing taking into account standard pass-through cutters with the main angle in the plan β = 45 °.
Almost all dimensions of the part surface correspond to a normal series of lengths and diameters, which allows them to be treated with a standard tool.
The processability of the product design is a set of properties of the product that determines the adaptability of its design to achieve optimal resource costs during production and operation for given quality indicators, output volume, and conditions for work.
Qualitative evaluation of TKI - is given to evaluate the rationality of the design of the part as a whole and its structural elements.
The "Pressure Disk" part is made of 38XS steel, which is a material mastered in production, used to produce blanks by stamping.
The part does not have particularly high-precision hard-to-achieve dimensions, roughness classes, or deviations in the shape and arrangement of surfaces .
It is not particularly difficult to ensure the technical requirements for the part, as well as their control.
