General part
The gas equipment project of the heating boiler house of a residential multi-storey complex near the village of Dubki, Odintsovsky district, was carried out on the basis of the customer's specification and technical specifications of the State Unitary Enterprise Mosoblgaz No.
The working drawings comply with the design codes and regulations, the requirements of SNiP 42012002 "Gas Distribution Systems" and the Safety Rules for Gas Distribution and Gas Consumption Systems.
The designed boiler house is equipped with five Vitomax 200 water heating boilers from Viessmann with a nominal capacity of 10,000 kW each. The boiler house is separate and designed for heating the housing and communal sector.

Boiler room operation is provided with constant presence of maintenance personnel.
Vitomax 200 boilers are equipped with Weishaupt WKGL 70/2A gas burners operating on natural gas at a pressure of 180 300 mbar.
Flue gas removal from boilers is carried out in three chimneys: two with a diameter of ∅=1400mm and one with a diameter of ∅=1100mm (see the heat engineering part of the project).
Boiler room ventilation shall comply with the requirements of SNiP for the production located in it and provide 3x air exchange of the room (see separate section of the project).
All gas equipment embedded in the project has certificates of compliance with the Gosstandart of Russia and permission from Gosgortekhnadzor for use in Russia.
Gas Flow Rate Determination
The gas consumption on the 10000 kW of No Vitomax 200 boiler to passport data at Q = 8000 kcal/m³ and ρ =³ makes 0.730 kg/m 1177.5 nmz / h.
The total natural gas consumption per boiler house will be:
Total = 5 x 1177.5 = 5887.5 nm3/h.
Boiler room gas equipment
The source of gas supply of the boiler house is the designed inlet of the medium pressure gas pipeline p = 240 mbar dy350.
A metering unit equipped with a TRZ G4000 turbine meter with a gas volume corrector EC260 is provided for measuring natural gas flow in the boiler room; meter measurement range - Qmax = 6500 nm3/h, Qmin = 320 nm3/h under standard conditions.
In front of the counter there is a gas filter FG150P designed to clean gas from mechanical impurities. Allowable pressure drop on the filter cartridge is 5kPa.
The diameters of the gas pipelines are selected on the basis of the hydraulic calculation made for the medium pressure gas pipeline in accordance with the requirements of SNiP 42012002 "Gas Distribution Systems."
KTZ 001300MF "Armgaz-NT," which operates in case of fire, and disconnecting solenoid valve VN8N1K dy200, which operates in case of power outage and alarm of room gas content, are installed at the gas pipeline inlet to the boiler room.
Calculation of gas pipeline diameters

Vitomax 200 Boiler Gas Equipment
The Vitomax200 boiler is equipped with a Weishaupt WKGL 70/2A burner with a gas ramp, which includes:
disconnecting ball valve dy150;
gas filter dy150;
gas pressure regulator dy150;
gas pressure switch (max, min);
two magnetic valves;
tightness monitoring device;
compensator;
ignition system.
The nominal pressure of natural gas in front of the gas block is 180-300 mbar.
Natural gas flow rate per boiler is 1177.5 m3/h.
The design provides for the installation of a disconnecting crane in front of each boiler, the installation of a gas turbine counter SG161600 dy200 for aggregate metering of gas flow, the supply of natural gas to the burner gas equipment unit and the outlet of the purge gas pipeline from the boiler above the eaves of the building by 1 meter.
Industrial safety
The boiler house construction part meets the design standards. Building of boiler house II of normal liability class, III degree of fire resistance; boiler room category for fire and explosion hazard - "D."
The boiler room ventilation system meets the requirements of SNiP for the production located in it and provides 3x air exchange of the room.
The boilers as a part of the burner have automation of gas combustion safety and regulation .
The boilers are fully automated and equipped with a safety automation system that ensures the cessation of gas supply at:
- deflection of gas pressure upstream the burner outside the area of stable operation;
- burner flare failure;
- decrease of air pressure below permissible one;
- interruption of power supply.
5. At the inlet of the gas pipeline to the boiler room there is an electromagnetic valve of the grade VN8N1K dy200, blocked with a gas content detector by CO carbon monoxide gas and CH4 methane in the air of the boiler room. The valve cuts off the gas supply to the boiler room when the 10% from the lower ignition limit of natural gas or the carbon monoxide concentration of 20mg/m3 is reached.
Start-up and operation conditions
1. The boiler room is fully automated and works with permanent maintenance personnel.
2. The boiler room shall have a sound and light alarm when the boiler room is gas-free 10% of the lower flammability limit of natural gas.
3. The boiler room shall display operating instructions for gas-fuelled units.
4. Start-up, shutdown and operation of boilers shall be carried out in strict accordance with the approved instruction.
