Description
ABSTRACT
This final qualification work examines the modernization of the hydraulic section of a drilling pump based on the UNBT-600 prototype. A new hydraulic box was designed, increasing pump fill by reducing dead space within the pump by positioning the suction and discharge valves closer together. Repair and replacement time are also significantly reduced by using a replaceable valve block.
INTRODUCTION
Currently, oil and gas are humanity's primary energy sources. Their availability determines the level of economic development and growth rates of a country.
The exploration of new oil fields and increased production in existing fields are ensuring rapid growth in the oil industry.
Production efficiency is a key issue in the oil and gas industry, which is why mechanical engineering faces many new challenges, including improving the reliability of oil equipment and many others.
In recent years, new drilling equipment has been developed and implemented, significantly impacting oil and gas production rates and drilling efficiency. Advances in drilling are inextricably linked to scientific advances in the design and calculation of oilfield equipment, as well as increased efficiency and reliability. To consolidate these advances, it is essential to continually increase production and exploration drilling by improving the efficiency of drilling rigs and automating manual labor. This requires the challenging work of replacing equipment with automated units at enterprises. This is precisely the path to achieving the necessary increase in drilling volume.
Technological development is a continuous process. Developing a new design is the initial stage in creating competitive equipment. This is followed by a more challenging and labor-intensive process, i.e., modernization based on operational results, standardization of assembly units, and improvement of manufacturing technology.
This thesis proposes a modernization option for the hydraulic section of a drilling pump. This will reduce the dead space in the pump due to the close arrangement of the valves, as well as speed up the pump repair process, thereby ensuring continuous operation of the pump.
