The relevance of the topic is due to the fact that all machines operating in production in any part of their functionality are already outdated and require significant changes and improvements. Such a demand for improvement is caused by the high quality of processing of parts that meet the latest standards and requirements of production and technology. In order to obtain a high and modern quality in the operation of the machine, it is necessary to modernize the existing machine control system or add a new function. After the process of upgrading the machine, the functionality will be expanded. But for the subsequent analysis of the topic of my project, it is necessary to solve a number of problems. For the implementation of the project, a lathe model 1P426DF3 was chosen. On the basis of this model of the machine, the process of description and modernization will be carried out to increase its performance.

The purpose of the diploma project is to find ways to increase the efficiency of the machine of the selected model in the conditions of modern production, namely: improving the rotary chuck and selecting a control system that expands the technological capabilities of the machine.
