Description
The rolling roll MCC 300 is a working part of the rolling mill. Passing between the rolling rolls, the metal is squeezed (the height of the cross section of the rolled stock decreases) and drawn (the length of the rolled stock increases), thereby obtaining the desired shape and dimensions. The rolling roll consists of: a barrel - the working part, directly touches the metal and produces its deformation; necks - support part, installed on bearings; drive ends are used for connection to the drive through a clutch or spindle. Depending on the type of bearings used, they are conical (for liquid friction bearings) or cylindrical (for rolling bearings). The drive end can have different cross-sections depending on the type of mill and its power: square, trefoil, with two flats, with key grooves, with a spline, with a blade or simply cylindrical. Depending on the purpose, the rolls are profiled (for rolled stock) and non-profiled (for rolled stock). Rolling work rolls are made of cast iron, and rolling support rolls are made of steel, since the surface of work rolls should have high hardness.
