Introduction

In this course work, it is necessary to design 2 types of tools: a roller roll-out and a long cutter for key slots. The volume of tool output in both cases is 10 pcs. Per year, the volume of part output is 1000 pcs. Per year, the material of the processed parts is steel, the material of the tool cutting part is fast-cutting steel, the tool design is prefabricated and solid, for the rolling tool and long cutter, respectively.

Long cutter is intended for treatment of material at vertical construction. The cutters are divided into through two-sided with an angle of 45 degrees, slotted and for key slots. Vertical planes and curvilinear surfaces are treated with long-pass cutters. Grooves, grooves, recesses, planes with ledges and cutting are made by long-cut cutters. Manufacturing process of long cutter

Procurement. Cut the workpiece with the size of 115 mm.

Milling.

As a result of the work done, a cutting tool was designed: a long cutter for a key slot.

The grades of high-speed steel for making this tool, the hardness of the material of the cutting tool, the material of the wear-resistant coating, the field of application, marking, geometric dimensions and technical requirements were determined. Also, a technological process was drawn up for a long cutter, a blank was selected.
