Introduction

The importance of the course project in studying the discipline "internal combustion engines cars and tractors" is due to the field of activity of the future mechanical engineer in lifting, construction, road vehicles.

The purpose of the design is to acquire knowledge of the elements that form the efficiency of engines, and the skills of their use in improving structures, as well as the skills to consider the results obtained from the points of view of operation, maintenance and repair of machines in specific conditions.

The initial data are the type and power of the engine, as well as the speed of the crankshaft at maximum torque and at maximum power, the remaining data are selected independently.

In this course design, my KamAZ 74010 engine was considered.

On the KamAZ 5511 car, torque from the engine is transmitted through the clutch to the gearbox and from it through the gearbox to the transfer gearbox. From the transfer box through the axle differential, which is located inside the crankcase of this box, torque is distributed between the front driving bridge and driving bridges. The transfer box is simultaneously an additional gearbox that doubles the number of possible gears and increases the limits of changing gear ratios in the transmission. Inside each drive axle, torque is transmitted through the main gear, inter-wheel differential and drive shafts to the drive wheels. To increase cross-country capacity, the KamAZ 5511 car is equipped with a winch located in the aft part of the car. Drive to winch is performed from power take-off box, which is installed on transfer box.
