The set of operations for installing, assembling, adjusting, and running-in a machine, carried out in the required sequence, is called the installation process.

The equipment installation process consists of the following stages:

Equipment acceptance;

Inspection and preparation of equipment for installation, including assembly work;

Foundation acceptance and preparation of equipment for installation on the foundation;

Foundation installation and alignment;

Foundation commissioning and pouring of the installed foundation;

Mechanism assembly;

Installation of lubrication, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems;

Closing, testing, and adjustment of mechanisms;

Idle and load testing of the mechanism;

Comprehensive testing of the unit's mechanisms and commissioning;

Comprehensive testing of the unit under load and commissioning.

The course project is a computational and graphic work that summarizes all the knowledge and skills acquired during the course. Additionally, the course project reinforces the student's ability to use reference literature and various sources to fully understand the significance of the course project under development in the real-world conditions of an industrial enterprise. The project also reinforces, deepens, and summarizes the knowledge acquired during lectures and practical classes.

Depending on their weight, design, and accuracy class, metal-cutting machines, according to SNiP 2.02.05-87, may be installed on a concrete subfloor of the workshop, on thickened concrete or reinforced concrete strip foundations (strip foundations) installed in the floor, or on solid foundations (single and shared) that are either pre-prepared or already in place. In the course project, the machine is installed in a prepared location in the production area of ​​a mechanical engineering enterprise.
