Description

In 1938, Walter Gropius completed a residence for his family in Lincoln, Massachusetts. The house was his first architectural commission in the United States when he came to teach at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design. After his death, Gropius had a benefactor. Mrs. James J. Storrowy. Today, the house is owned by the Historic New England Conservation Trust and is open to the public.
