Basic Data
The project provides for a sprinkler water-filled automatic water fire extinguishing system for administrative, office premises, as well as corridors. The protected area is 15 980m2. The building is 2 combined buildings with a storey:
- building B - 14 floors
- building B - 12 floors.
In addition, there is a technical floor located between the 2nd and 3rd floors, as well as a technical underground.
To protect the above premises, the project adopted Micromatic ® standard response sprinklers model M with a flat socket manufactured by Viking. The actuation temperature is 570C, the diameter of the outlet 1/2. "
The control unit used is a water signal valve with "Viking" model J-1 binding and retarding chamber. Valve size 4 "(DN 100), operating pressure P = 1.7MPa.
The automatic water feeder provided for by the project is a jockey pump, model CAM 198/60 with a pressure control system and a 60 liter hydraulic accumulator manufactured by Calpeda, Italy.
Centrifugal pumps are used as the main water feeder. Main water feeder pump grades are selected according to the hydraulic calculation given below.
When the system is activated, the design provides for the output of signals from the SDU of the control unit and flow indicator to the protected rooms and to the fire station room with indication of the floor and the fire enclosure.
Calculation of fire extinguishing agent (water) flow rate
Calculation is performed according to NPB 882001 * "Fire fighting and alarm units. Design Codes and Regulations. "
Protected administrative premises by the degree of danger of fire development belong to the 1st group.
For specified rooms:
S = 120m2 - area for water flow calculation;
q = 0.08 l/s ∙ m2 - irrigation intensity of design area;
t = 30 min (1800 sec) - duration of operation of the water fire extinguishing unit.
V = S x q = 120 x 0.08 = 9.6l/s = 35m3/h
Total: V = 35mz/h.
