Description
The traditional scheme of the main drive of a rolling mill includes a gearbox, which provides the necessary gear ratio between the electric motor and the working stand, and a gear stand, designed to distribute the transmitted torque between the rolls of the working stand. In many cases, when the gear ratio of the gearbox is less than four and the drive power is small, the gearbox is combined with the gear stand in one housing. As a rule, such combined gear cages-gearboxes are manufactured for multi-roll mills.
