Description
The front head of the table lathe is designed to transfer rotation from the engine to the machined part. Rotation is transmitted to two-stream sheaf 2 by wedge-variable transmission. The rotation from the sheave 2 to the workpiece is transmitted by two leads 3. The sheave 2 is connected to the axle 13 by a key 19 and attached to the axle by a screw 16. Axle 13 rotates in two ball bearings 18, one of which (right) is fixed in housing 1 by thrust ring 11 with screws 15 and nut 8. Bearings 18 are lubricated with thick lubricant laid inside housing 1. The ring 17 protects the lubricant from flowing out of the housing and protects the bearings 18 from dust and dirt. Front head is installed on guides of machine and fixed on them with eccentric clamp, then eccentric 6 is fixed by turning.
