Explanatory Note to Fire Water System Automation Project

The design provides for remote start-up of the pump unit from nHS buttons located in place. The signal for remote actuation is transmitted to the control device. CP checks the water pressure in the system by signals of electric contact pressure gauge PS1. At sufficient pressure in the system, starting of fire pumps is automatically cancelled until the pressure is reduced, requiring the pump unit to be switched on. (SNiP 2.04.0185 (2000) Internal water supply and sewerage of buildings, item 12.21.). In case of pressure drop in the system and operation of PS1 sensor, CP outputs signals to the switching equipment cabinet (ShAK) for start-up of PN1 and opening of electrified gate valve (electrical gate valve) on the pipeline bypassing the water metering unit of the object.

Setting to nominal operation mode of PN1 pump is controlled by readings of PS2 pressure gauge and PN2 pump by readings of PS3 pressure gauge. In case of refusal of start-up or absence of PN1 on the mode during the determined time, PN2 is automatically started.

Indication device is installed in the room with 24-hour stay of duty personnel. PI in the form of light and sound signals signals:

failure of control button loop;

faults of power supply electric pipelines;

disconnection of automatic start-up of PN1, PN2 or electrical valve ;

remote start-up of the plant;

start-up of fire pumps;

open/closed position of the electric lock;

not setting to nominal operation mode of PN1, PN2 pump;

do not open the electrical valve for the set time.

The pumps are stopped and the electric valve is closed remotely from the CP or CP using the command "CP reset" (see CP and CP passports).
