1. Process diagram.
From the vessel, 100% acetic acid with a temperature of 20 ° C enters the plate heater in which it is heated.
After the plate preheater, 100% acetic acid enters the calculated evaporator directly through the inlet to the tube space in which evaporation with dry saturated steam takes place, with an initial temperature of 119.6 ° C. During the heat exchange, the temperature of 100% acetic acid increases slightly and the evaporation process begins .
After the evaporation process, vapors of 100% acetic acid are sent through the outlet, for example, to the production of cellulose acetate, acetone. Dry saturated steam is supplied through the upper inlet (to achieve countercurrent flow) branch pipe to the annulus from the boiler room. Passing through the annular space, the dry saturated steam condenses, the condensate leaves the outlet pipe, and through the means of the pipeline again enters the boiler house, in which it evaporates and heats up to 119.6 ° C.
Conclusion.
In the course work, material, thermal and hydraulic calculations were made on the basis of which a shell and tube evaporator was designed, with a casing diameter of 1.4 m, a tube height of 6 m, with tubes Ø20x2 mm.
The heat transfer surface area margin is 10.3%, the heat transfer coefficient is 1431.71W/m2 K.
This evaporator satisfies the condition, it allows to carry out the necessary process with the specified capacity and temperature parameters.
