12.1 Gearbox Assembly Procedure

Before assembly, the internal cavity of the reduction gear box housing is thoroughly cleaned and covered with oil-resistant paint .

Assembly is performed in accordance with gearbox assembly drawing starting from shafts .

We lay keys on the driving, intermediate and driven shafts. Press the gear wheel on the driven shaft, put on spacer sleeves to fix the wheels and gears in the axial direction.

Then we put oil retaining rings on the shafts and put ball bearings pre-heated in oil at a temperature of up to 80-100 degrees.

We put a sleeve on the bearings of the high-speed shaft.

The assembled shafts are placed in the corresponding slots of the gear box housing. Then we cover the surface of the flange joint with alcohol varnish and put on the cover of the housing. To prevent unscrewing of bolts, the cover is installed on the housing using two conical pins and tightens the bolts .

After that plastic grease is put on shafts in bearing chambers. Install intermediate washers in the intermediate shaft assembly. Install bearing covers with a set of metal gaskets. Before installation of through covers into covers, let us pull cuffs. Screw adjustment screws in the intermediate shaft assembly. By turning the shafts make sure that there is no jamming (shafts must be turned by hand) and attach the covers with screws.

Then install the plug of oil outlet with gasket, install the lamp oil indicator with gasket.

Pour oil into the housing and close the inspection hole with a cover with a gasket made of technical cardboard; attach the cover with bolts.

The assembled gearbox is rolled and tested on the bench according to the program established by technical conditions.

12.2 Procedure for adjustment of engagement and clearances in bearings

Gear width is made larger than gear width by 5 mm to compensate for assembly errors relative to axial position of wheels. Adjustment screws are provided to adjust the intermediate shaft.

Adjustment of clearances in bearings is performed by a set of thin mechanical gaskets installed under flanges of bearing covers.

12.3 Procedure for Assembly and Adjustment of the Drive

Install the electric motor on the frame and bolt it. We put a half-coupling on the electric motor shaft, press the other half-coupling on the input shaft of the reduction gear box, before laying the key. Install the reduction gear box on the common frame near the motor frame drive and twist. We collect half a coupling. Put the key in the output shaft and press the driving pulley. Screw the bolt with washer into the shaft end face. For that attach sprocket from axial movement. Driven sprocket is pressed onto conveyor shaft by means of bolt with nut. Put on a belt. The chain tension is controlled by a periodic tensioner.
