Drawing of the ELOU block
Electrodesalination and dehydration is carried out in 2 stages. Between the stages, wash water is introduced into the oil stream to dissolve the salt crystals. The number of electric dehydrators installed on one stage is three. To reduce the consumption of fresh water and the amount of dirty effluents at the ELOU, fresh wash water is supplied only to the second stage, and then the drainage water of this stage is reused for flushing in the first stage.
The electric dehydrator is a horizontal type 2EG-200-10 with a throughput of 210-480 t/h. The process is carried out at a temperature of 140 °C and a pressure of 1.6 MPa.
