The purpose of the course work is to develop design and design documentation for the shutoff valve.

Introduction

The COMPAS3D system is a powerful, dynamically developing engineering system for automating the design of a wide variety of objects: from the simplest parts, assemblies to complex engineering, architectural and construction objects.

This system provides the ability to automate the product development process through parametric modeling, Controls the relative location of subassemblies, and automatically updates the model and drawing as you modify them work with 3D surfaces that allow you to create complex models with arbitrary spatial shapes generating flat projections, generating product drawings, creating schedules in semi-automatic mode, automation of calculation of geometric and mass-centering characteristics of objects, automatic setting of tolerances and selection of quota according to specified limit deviations, automating the paperwork process, controlling the size of parts and assemblies, and a number of other features.

The main tasks solved by the system are:

• modeling of products in order to create design and process documentation necessary for their release (assembly drawings, specifications, details, etc.);

• modeling of products in order to calculate their geometric and mass-centering characteristics;

• modeling of products for transfer of geometry to calculation packages;

• Modeling of geometry transfer parts to CNC software development packages

• creating isometric images of products (for example, for cataloguing, creating illustrations for technical documentation, etc.).
