Development of a technology for assembling and welding a tank for gasoline processing

The diploma project is devoted to the design and manufacture of a tank that is used in the oil industry for processing heavy oil residues,  obtaining coking gasoline with a sulfur content of 0.8% by weight.

In the sections, issues on the choice of welding methods are considered, welding consumables and equipment are selected, welding modes are calculated, and quality control issues are considered.

The fixtures for assembling the tank have been selected. The types of clamps are selected, the forces and loads that occur in the equipment are calculated.

In the economic part of the diploma project, the calculation of the technological cost of manufacturing the structure was carried out. The economic efficiency of the selected technology is analyzed.

The occupational health and safety section contains a comparison of manufacturing technologies in the light of occupational safety issues. Fire and electrical safety requirements are also given, and environmental issues are considered.

The diploma project is represented by an explanatory note on 81 pages, a graphic part on 8 sheets of drawings and posters, and literary sources.
