Introduction
The main goal of the course project on machine parts is to acquire design skills.
One of the most important tasks in the training of an engineer is to teach you to creatively use the acquired knowledge in solving the tasks. One of the goals of the project is to develop engineering thinking, including the ability to use previous experience, model using analogues. The multivariability of decisions characteristic of a course project on machine details with the same task develops a mental activity and initiative among students.
The most important task of course design is to develop the ability to develop technical documentation. Drawing, along with oral speech, writing, mathematical descriptions, etc., is the most important means of communication that engineers must own. Based on the initial prerequisites from the course of machine-building drawing graphics, in the process of independent work, students master free reading and execution of drawings of unlimited complexity.
During the project, the teacher has the opportunity to observe students in conditions close to the topic that future engineers will encounter after graduation.
Conclusion
During the work he learned to design a mechanical drive. Reviewed and learned the calculations of connections, gears, shafts. He learned to select rolling bearings and considered various types of existing bearings. Calculated the coupling. Selected lubrication system, lubricant and sealing devices to ensure the best drive operation. He developed the gearbox housing.
Also, this course project familiarized me with the basic principles of the design engineer. He gave a concept of the difficulties of engineering work, taught to think through the project being developed from the initial idea to its implementation in the drawings.
