Description
In fluidized bed furnaces (kc), particles of ground material are continuously supplied to a grate, under which air or flue gases are blown, at a rate that dates the possibility of creating a fluidized bed. In the CC furnaces, the surface of the solid particles (equivalent to the contact surface of the phases) is completely washed with gas, that is, as much as possible participates in the process. Greater turbulence of the two-phase medium and minimal diffuse resistance increases heat and mass transfer coefficients in the reaction system. Due to the cross movement of the reactants in such furnaces, a high driving force of the process is provided, as a result of which the flow rate of the process is maximum.
The CC furnace operates in Reese mode as an isothermal reactor - for this purpose, coils with cooling water or steam pipes of the recovery boiler are placed in the fluidized bed zone. In order to intensify the work, furnace designs have been developed. which are combined with cyclones. In such furnaces, the gas velocity is higher than the particle rate, but the withdrawn particles are trapped in the cyclone and returned. (Furnaces have the highest operating intensity.
Disadvantage of combustion chamber furnaces with high dust content of furnace gas (up to 200 g/m3).
